With Apex Legends announcing a 5 Million dollar prize pool for this season of ALGS, huge esports orgs like 100 Thieves, TSM, Cloud9 and nearly 100 others competing.

Apex Legends has had a huge resurgence this year, thanks to massive hacking issues in games like Warzone driving viewers and streamers back to the game on Twitch and YouTube. And now that Respawn has announced a 5 million dollar prize pool for this years ALGS, even orgs like 100 Thieves that had previously dropped their Apex Legends pro rosters are back in.

The list of esports orgs fielding Apex Legends rosters in this years ALGS is insane, with NAVI, Team Liquid, G2, TSM, NRG, Gambit esports and many, many more all competing for that huge prize pool. 100 Thieves and TSM are also the latest orgs to double down on Apex legends content creation, signing NiceWigg and Nokopuffs respectively.

So we have a huge prize pool in ALGS that has 100’s of the worlds biggest esports orgs signing back up or returning to Apex Legends pro play…but will this be the start of a new era for Apex, or will the return of Halo esports and anti-cheat in Warzone make this a one and done season?

  1. Apex Legends is popping off big time in 2021. The fact that both ninja and Nickmercs are playing it daily says a lot. It really sucks that both timthetatman and dr disrespect haven’t caught up to it and continue to play Warzone, which is fine but so dull in comparison.

  2. You forgot to mention there's a chance of astralis joining apex comp, because when aqualix let go of their team, a co owner of astralis replied to a user asking them to pick up the aqualix team.

  3. I hope ALGS overtakes as #1 BR esport.
It's not unlikely if WSOW keeps dealing with the cheater problem and FNCS stays a children's playground with dumbass kids.

Also Respawn doing the right thing supporting orgs while Epic and Fortnite lack any understanding of competitive play.

  4. I have no idea about current COD Warzone. Stopped playing after 2020 Halloween. But, Apex is the only Battle Royale I play and really enjoy. Apex is also very fun to watch. I think Apex is the biggest Battle Royale right now?
