Apex Legends The Sad Truth About Heirlooms

In today’s video I go over some why heirlooms will become harder and harder to get and why the price will most likely not be changing either. With these new heirloom reactive skins I doubt future events such as the anniversary event will contain heirloom shards again, and so it truly is something which is sad to see.

  1. Like I mentioned in the video, it seems like respawn is going to continue adding these reactive legends skins. This means our future anniversary events might not contain heirloom shards again as it may continue to have these reactive skins as rewards… What do you think?

  2. Nah. The value of the hierloom IS the rarity, bruh. If everyone had them left and right, super high drop rate, then they wouldn't be anywhere as cool as they are. If you have them, you've grinded for them. Or you spent a whole lot.

  3. Yea I have 2 heirlooms I got super lucky at the start I got blood hound and lifelines but I only play bloodhound because of the heirloom and I literally never play lifeline it’s just not my play style I wish I got that option to change it or pick the one I wanted

  4. I have a heirloom but it was back when I didn't have a choice and I got it for a skin I didn't ever use. So it would be cool if that feature came out where I could switch it out

  5. It's actually devastating. I got a random heirloom and it gave me Pathfinder. I genuinely only wanted the Wraith one. It's not fair that it didn't let me choose my heirloom yet everyone who got theirs after mine gets to choose. That's bullshit. I should be able to convert my heirloom into shards and change it to something else

  6. I think a good fix for the heirlooms would be to just give everyone one lifetime heirloom exchange for all heirlooms before the crypto collection event so that people don’t just buy his heirloom to get another one (I wish that the events where just shards but I understand why they wouldn’t)

  7. Personally speaking i nvr understood why the actual weapon skins are cheaper and the knifes or melee weapon with a lil bit of animation, which will hardly get you any kill, is more pricy and costly and suprisingly majiority of the player base dies to have it. It's just absurd to be honest. No doubt apex melee weapons have more efforts put in them making look worth but there is no finishing move it can be used, it only matches well with the default skin,no colour schemes some have trails some don't, I don't understand. They are appealing no doubt but only a rich person can make that decision to spend that far. Otherwise it's the same story sell you organs or house to get this and trust me I have met people saying they will stick around for the entirity of it but have sold there accounts and don't plan on playing know 🤣

  8. There market management is broken it's only doing that well cause the playerbase doesn't have a problem or don't know how to request something properly. I have been playing this game since all season except s8 and trust me there store features the way they manage crafting materials there events is just trash since before that's a very minor adjustments they make when they fear loosing there player base. My advice play the game to enjoy with friends or release stress. Struck in the loop of getting skins you might end up homeless 😉

  9. I’ve been saying that they should refund anyone who got the bloodhound and wraith heirloom shards for forever!! It’s super unfair I think. I got wraith heirloom season 0 and I don’t want it. It’s boring and objectively the worst heirloom there’s no animations. I’d refund hers for lifelines any day.

  10. It's not even a reactive skin. It's an evolution skin. I want to see my first person hand and arms change colors or glow after 500 damage, or 5 kills. I want to have an effect after my double time is triggered so many times in one game. THEY AREN"T REACTIVE. It's unlockable evolutions. Please

  11. IMO I think it’s just fine as it is, if they are made easier to obtain then they lose there value, and one of the reasons people desire them is that to. This is why respawn should not just give away shards, they are trying to run a business, if you want an heirloom than spend money don’t complain that your level 500 and you don’t have one, accept the fact that you will probably have to open those 500 packs. If there’s anything like this in a game people will be jealous of others. The only exception to this would be people who opened an heirloom before shards became a thing I feel that they should be allowed to re choose.

  12. imagine if it were the same way in the past where you didnt get to pick your heirloom… Just imagine that aspect of the game never changed. LMAO imagine how disappointed you would be to get the bloodhound prestige skin instead of LITERALLY ANY HEIRLOOM……

that bloodhound skin is not a bad skin -BUT IT IS NOT WORTH HEIRLOOM SHARDS… not to mention it has its own finisher… HEY RESPAWN! why don't heirlooms have their own finishers??? instead you give us a mediocre bloodhound skin and give THAT A F-ING finisher… really???

  13. I made the game choosing my heirloom argument on Reddit and the users just told me to be happy that I got one like they have a clear advantage over me when it comes to getting a heirloom cause they get to choose and I’m forced to get a wraith one who I don’t play and only have 70 kills for I even forced myself to play her it’s incredibly unfair and now I have to spend hundreds of dollars just for another one when I would be happy to give up the wraith one for another

  14. I just wonder who came out with such bullshit idea to sell overpriced "reactive skins" in a first person shooter game. It's just a glorified pair of gloves. You dont see your skin 99% of the time. The heirloom however you can see them most of time. The mythic skin is nowhere near heirloom level cosmetics. It comes with animations and voiceline which is further superior than a skin. The "reactive" is the dumbmest part about imo. Its like buying premium price for ikea furniture only for you to build it yourself. Imagine paying 500$(That's 8 copies of elden ring) just for the game to tell you to grind more to unlock the item you just paid. Once you unlock a higher tier the low tiers skins become obselete you basically wont use it anymore. Not only that using or buying another bloodhound skin feels like you just wasted your 500. They should've made it reactive with kills instead of damage and should cost about 50 shards at most. I can buy the skin if I wanted too. But the amount of bugs and cheaters running around kinda makes it hard for me to support a game studio knowing that they made billions from selling cosmetic and the servers are still trash. Like how your server trash when you make 1 billion per year? The amount of no regs I've encountered this season is crazy. Not only that but recently apex is unplayable for me because the connecting to lobby takes to long that I'd rather close and restart the game because its faster and I had to do it every single game. Its sad to see where a game pushes monetization to the maximum while focusing on the service of the game to the minimum
