  1. Crazy, I used to be on the aqualix fortnite team, before it got boring, idk what happened, but it was not like this. I do remember they had minimum contracts for high placers on the team, with COVID, and Aqualix being pretty small, I’m not surprised. Still messed up though. ( I don’t know if the leaders are still the same. Drizzy was the main owner before)

  2. They made 41k in earnings and they can keep making money if they payed their players. They have to have a backup plan into making even more money because this is stupid. Nobody will want to get signed by them no more or work with them in whatever else they decide to do

  3. Personal opinion but when you say don't join a team when they don't have substantial funding sounds kind of messed up. There are tons of T2 teams and significantly less T1 teams. Telling someone to not join a team because they don't have the funding, SOME teams have to get their funding from somewhere whether it's from prize pool money, sponsorship money, merch, and more. If people don't take a risk sometimes their opportunity goes from right under them. Yes it sucks and unfortunate what happened to them but if they have the opportunity to play pro league and that's what they wanted to do then they should take that opportunity (obviously read the contract and don't just sign blindlessly) But their chances of getting signed to a T1 roster would be much more significant.

  4. As a business owner, $41k in winnings isn't enough to pay salaries for entire year for a team. An owner couldn't even pay oneself, so why do it? It doesn't take a business owner to say that though. What other revenue was being brought in? It's a very very raw deal for the team and I feel for them.

  5. You can't say "stop joining these teams" the fact that someone makes it to the pro-scene no matter how insignificant or small the e-sports org is people will play.. what's unfortunate is that the formation and disbanding of e-sports orgs needs a little more structure…and i feel like big publishers really need to make sure that teams with orgs competing in their tournaments have the right financial backing or funding for their players.
