Are the vods still up on Twitch of you playing?
I loved GTA V when it first came out, it was the main reason I purchased a PS3. All my memories of it are positive except for flight missions. Reversing the controls kind of helped but when it became more and more about flying I stopped. Still really enjoyed the game though in all aspects beside that 🙂
Was super fun when it came out, I just hope whatever next game Rockstar makes has a consistent tone like RDR2 but better controls, gameplay loop, and single player attention
It's crazy GTA V did what Destiny Anthem etc etc was setting out to do
Say what you want about gta v its really fun
How are you going to show a clip of Hillary Clinton pissed off at GTA, then try to pin that ignorance on "the religious right"? 😂
Just finished off Fame or shame mission for the first time & the game is hilarious!! Trevor is the heart of GTA5
The increased effort in this video is pretty evident, Luke. Keep doing what you do!
Man, I remember being super hyped prior to release, the first day I basically stayed up until 5am next day. Played through it in a week…to bad that GTA VI is nowhere to be seen…
"Piss off religious right"????????
It's the democrats who want to ban everything.. xD
Especially in today's leftist-komissar cancel culture, GTA pisses off leftists first
You can do anything you want….. Except stop the train
Shows clip of Hillary Clinton….. then says it's the religious right upset about video games. Hilarious
The world building of GTA games is so good it makes me sometimes think about the lives of the NPCs, or those people living inside their homes or apartments, or the online profiles of people that you see on the in-game internet.
I love the GTA V story mode as it’s just a fun to play over and over again
Really lovable characters to with some great moments and it’s just one I keep coming back to play even when I’m going between more story heavy games like rdr2, the Arkham games etc
And the online is also one that my mates and I always come back to as well
Back in 2013 this game felt like the video game of my dreams. And 2022, it still feels kind of unmatched in so many ways
You still haven't done your critique… Still waiting for it…still .
Unreal expectations for GTA 6, for sure. If any studio can rise to the pressure, it’s those rockstars at R*
I wish I could just let myself go like that in GTA V, but I feel like what prevents me from actually doing that is the potential for loss. Misusing my time, wasting money, souring relationships with contacts, etc. Even though there are more ways than ever to make money, it all feels… Tedious and unworthy of my time. Also everything is so damn expensive and plentiful that it gets overwhelming :/
Like… I don't wanna put my characters in danger because of hospital/police station bills. I don't wanna endanger my car because of repair costs. I don't wanna go nuts with using explosives and whatever because ammo can get expensive… And so on. I even find myself googling the most profitable ways to carry out the heists or which folks to deliver up to those friendly fellas up on the mountain, and which to accept the reward/benefits from, etc.
Yes, I understand that this is a me issue, and that towards the end of the game, I'll have accumulated more cash than I know what to do with. But I think the heart of the issue is honestly the concept of ownership, and the earnings/time ratio. To elaborate, I just wanna have fun with the game. I want to feel free to rampage and build up my stats, but I can't do that without solid weaponry. Guns are expensive, so I've gotta wait awhile before I'm kitted out enough to do that. In the meantime, it's a dang slog just to get through enough story missions to earn that much money… And the early story + side jobs are ass.
I hate gambling, and focusing on the damn stock market is too much for me. Eventually, though, I make it to where I can hold my own against a few stars' worth of cops for a bit. But at that point, I just want more. Each remote charge is a couple hundred bucks and isn't guaranteed to actually do anything (with my lack of skill/experience), and it feels like wasted investment to buy, and a waste of resources to use. So eventually I buy as many as I can… But I never use them. Buying armor should help, but it gets shredded far too quickly. So that's another few thousand that I could spend for a small advantage, but I never do because it feels like a waste. And then it's all a waste of time because I don't wanna have to recoup post-rampage losses, so I just reload a save. Any stats I've just improved or collectibles found… Gone.
It's a frikkin' cycle that goes on like that forever, and as somebody who just wants to enjoy his games without having to worry about all of this and making the most out of my time… It's impossible to just play and have fun. I'm always worried about not progressing while I've got the time to do so, about ruining relationships or squandering investment opportunities, about changing my clothes or upgrading my damn car often enough to feel like I'm using everything in the game as best I can. Yes, it is a me problem, but it's so fucking exhausting. People want more content in their games, but in GTA V, there are just so many activities and little things (that I know I don't have to worry about), and it's just too damn much!
San Andreas was simpler: buy a good outfit and stick with it. Scavenge weapons from the world or NPCs. Don't worry about trashing cars, because they're everywhere and designed to be disposable. There were so few options and so much less to "own" or "collect," and that gave me so much more wiggle room to care less, carve my own path, and actually have fun! The less that's thrust upon me and the more it feels like a feckin' sandbox world, the more I feel inclined to go out and explore–to make the most of it, on my own terms! Shorter missions, fewer aspects of "simulated reality," and more arcade action fun, and I'm happy. And yes, I've always been able to have more fun with Saints Row.
GTA is going in a direction that isn't for me, and that's okay. Older GTA, Saints Row, and countless other games are here for me ❤
Story is awesome, multiplayer sucks (ps4 player) just my opinion.
Using the Australian Cardinal PELL clip was grand. What that fekker covered up would fill an encyclopedia. And the good'ol Cathaholics hold him in such high regards.
Turn the other bum cheek. SYCOPHANTS
You got my like buddy
To bad they ruined Online with immersion breaking power bs and then proceeded to add more immersive stuff
I'm here just playing gta5 offline once in awhile, finishing it on ps3, now playing it at some point yearly since 2016 and haven't finished it yet on the ps4 yet🙈😄
Edit: I love Trevor so an ending with him dying is unexpectedly..
Played and enjoyed this game at launch, but popped it in again during quarantine (for some escapism and social "normalcy") and hot damn, if the satire and social commentary didn't land so much better than the first time. A true blast to play, it is a near perfect time sink in the current state of things. Thanks for the vid!
Why was the title changed? The game doesn't 9 until 8 months from now.
