  1. One of our Patreon members is Jonathan Fuller, a Senior Champion Designer at Riot Games! He designed the amazing Yone in these videos along with many more champions in the world of Runeterra. Drop him a follow on twitter guys! https://twitter.com/endlesspillows?lang=en
He's also said he's open to answering any questions you guys have on Yone and the cinematics we just watched, so drop them down below šŸ™‚

  2. Amazing video as always!!

Also, Ahri is from Ionia. And her race is called vastaya. Vastayans are like hybrids of human and animals/beasts and they reside in Ionia. Along the way, hopefully, you’ll get to know more of league champs that are vastayans, like sett, xayah, rakan etc.

  3. the old man represents his inner demon , thats why he said " as long as he lives , i will return" , his brother had one too but conquered him and became a demon hunter

  4. I think the point of the video is that Yasuo was refusing to face his own demons. It wasn't until Yone came from the spirit realm to save him that he stopped running and turned to face his own demon.

  5. Regarding the comment about Kai'sa having an australian accent…I think whoever wrote that comment may have been confused. Kai'sa (in the KDA universe) has a south african accent mixed with a little bit of everything since she travels a lot. I guess some people just confuse south african, australian and british with each other. Because I saw another comment saying that Kai'sa had a british accent.

  6. At the end, that was definitely Ahri. I only just noticed, rewatching with you guys that "Kin of the Stained Blade" leads up to the Ruined King video game. I haven't played that one yet, saving it for when I complete Hextech Mayhem.

  7. I feel like they don't fully appreciate the videos. The animations are meant for people who play the game and already read the stories or are familiar with the characters. They're watching them and just going "what is this? It looks cool tho." And if you want to know how a champions name is pronounced just google "how to play _______" or "_______'s champion spotlight"

  8. Lore around this 2 cinematics is kinda complicated (especially the 1st one) so here is the simplest and shortest explanation.
Yasuo and Yone story MIRRORS the Ionian Legend, Myth of 2 brothers – like a folklore thing.
Path, the Ionian Myth – Cinematic shows Brother from the Legend in the spirit realm (afterlife) – If you want deeper insight https://universe.leagueoflegends.com/en_GB/story/perennial/ thats the story you could read.
Kin of the Stained is a follow up to previous story of Yasuo (which they explain nicely in the cinematic itself: Big Ego student leaves his post, which makes his master die during his absence. But instead of being acused of leaving, Yasuo is acused of Murder – in different story he has already been proven innocent but he is still haunted by the memory of having killed his brother in self defence)

  9. the firs video shows an ionian legend about 2 brothers always one kills the other (and in this reincarnation it's yasuo and yone)
and the end of the last video is teasing the ruined king game ( where ahri yasuo illaoi braum pyke and miss forune group up)

  10. That wasn't Kai'sa at the end, It was Ahri. Ahri is a Vastayan, who's kind is native the Ionia. Vastayans are part human and part animal and all very unique. You should familiarize yourselves with the individual champions and play the game.

  12. Yes this is ahri, in the spirit blossom skinline she guides the Spirits to the afterlife

the first cinematic begins with the death of yone by the hand of yasuo, i believe he comes back to life because of the demon (i believe its a darkin) and helps yasuo in the second cinematic

  13. The Path is both a skinline trailer & partial reveal of Yone & his Spirit Blossom skin.

While the MC (main character) of The Path is a skin for Yone it's lore sets it up to be a old legend of an Ionian Swordsman who died in the past.

As a brief summary, when he awakens in the Afterlife he is greeted by a nine-tailed fox, who guided him through several perils on his way to his final rest.

Unfortunately, on the literal step to a peaceful afterlife he is tricked off this path. He is shown his failure of his past life & in his rage allows an Azakana (lesser demon) to feed & latch onto him.

In the ensuing battle, he is able to turn around the assault & defeat it. But the creature refusing to lose the Azakana corrupts the MC with dark magic infusing itself as a mask on his face.

Again while technically not Yasuo this battle basically mirrors his experience & reveals him current day with an Azakana Mask on as well.

The Spirit Blossom is not only an event but in lore it's like the Ionian version of Day of The Dead, with people coming from far & wide to talk to their loved ones who passed.

All characters in or teased in The Path trailer:

Spirit Blossom Yone, the deceased, now resurrected brother of Yasuo.

Spirit Blossom Ahri: in Fox form.

Spirit Blossom Cassiopeia, Snake Lady who opens her eyes when the MC passes by. Cassiopeia is a Noxian who was cursed when she robbed a Shuriman tomb turning her into a Medusa like character.

Spirit Blossom Kindred, the Wolf passing in the clouds behind our MC. Kindred are basically 2 manifestions of Death that used to be one, now known as the Lamb & the Wolf. Lamb is Peaceful end, while Wolf is a Violent end. (Highly recommend you watch their theme & voice lines)

Lillia, shape in the side of a hill. Lillia is a Fae Fawn who likes dreams & nature.

Spirit Blossom Thresh, the obviously Evil Doorway that led the MC into the Azakana's trap.

There's a bunch more not shown in the trailer though so check those out later.

  14. To understand Kin of the Stained Blade you must know Yasuo's backstory.

During the Noxian Invasion, many orders banned together to fight them back.

Yasuo's & Yone's order also participated, they use wind techniques to fight but Yasuo being the star pupil & strongest was tasked with protecting the Elder Souma.

Well being a hot head & stubborn, Yasuo left one evening to slay a Noxian garrison that attacked a village near their temple.

Unbeknownst to anyone another character named Riven deserted the Noxian army & wanted Souma's help to shatter her runic blade & clear herself of her past. But the in the success, a stray shard hit Souma in the neck killing him.

Riven fled & because of the wind marks left on Elder Souma's body Yasuo was blamed for his murder.

Now on the run he had no choice but to slay his pursuers, many of which were fellow students & friends if he wanted to survive to prove his innocence.

Unfortunately Yasuo was one of these pursuers. And that when the first flashback starts.

The Old man is an Azakana who wanted to feed on Yasuo's guilt & sorrow. Azakana are on the lowest tier of Demon. But as demons can grow stronger by feeding it is thought that even a high ranking demon like Fiddlesticks & the 10 Kings probably started as a Azakana.

Yone killed him by not only stabbing him but by saying his name: Kuro'sagol. Which allowed him to seal him in a mask he placed on his hip. As he has become a Azakana Hunter like Kai'sa is a Void Hunter.

Ahri is the one at the end, she hired Yasuo to be her bodyguard.
Later in the Ruined King game they fall in love, but Ahri's predatory nature is hindering it.

  15. People tends to relate The path with Kin of the stained blade because both features the samurai brothers, but at the end, the Spirit Blossom event is not canon, even tho is great and was cooler than the Ruination event

  16. this animation from the beginning of passes more in something like "the afterlife in ionia" the place is so magical and natural that even the afterlife there is different ,. there it tells the story of Ione after death and how he returned fighting an Azakana himself that he awakened with his bad feelings.
