I think it was the Firelights that made all those mechanical firelights and they were following Ekko to protect him. Maybe they are remote control or set up on a remote to locate Ekko and detonate "around" him to give him a chance to escape type deal.

They foreshadowed what Ekkos skill in the game is, with that fight scene. You guys should check out Ekkos teaser trailer "Seconds". Give you guys an idea and its friggin hype even though it was done 6 years ago.
It's lit to see you guys not knowing anything about league or it's characters and you guys still rocking with it so hard. The game has some crazy stories and awesome connection with it's characters and being able to relate to them in the show is amazing you guys only on the surface 😉
