I thought I was going to hate it because the women kept insulting the men and calling them "weak" etc. It seemed like it was going the woke route. But towards the end it became apparent that most of the male characters want peace while the show is not afraid to make female villains. I started loving it and really got into the show once I saw they were truly treating everyone equal, both good and bad.
I've seen the trailer and I was sold I've never heard of the game (oldish man) These stats are mind blowing Guess what I'm watching 2night 🤣
And it will continue to do so with Pedro Pascal coming out as pro kiddy diddling.
Appearently its more popular worldwide than america from the start. So the global popularity claim isnt that mind boggling.
40 year old LOL player here. Got a call from an ex league player who said I had to watch Arcane. Not big on hype but watched it and was pleasantly surprised. Carries itself without the game. Was impressive. Spammed all the episodes bon my day off. 😂😆
Arcane is perhaps one of the best animations I've ever watched, yes there are many. The art style was incredible.
On the other hand, Mandalorian was extremely generic — doesn't even touch the surface of what they could do with star wars.

I watched Midnight Mass because of Red-lettermedia Medias recommendation. But there being TWO shows on Netflix worth watching – is rare. I'll give this one a watch as well.
Arcane is I think the best piece of media I've seen this year, and I watch a lot of TV and movies. Never played LoL and have no plans to. But this show is just insanely good at every level.
Let me give you some advice on League, don’t play it.
Playing league is like being addicted to heroin, it’s not a fun time and it’s not worth it.
Get into any of their other works, spin offs, music, lore, anything other than the main game. Hell they’re mobile version (which will eventually be able to play it on consoles) is actually the superior version in this case, so if you are going to play it play that one
Because its fucking amazeballs. Mando is the best current Star Wars content since the original trilogy. Arcane is the best animation I've ever seen across the board. It embarrasses Disney x 2 then!
That makes ABSOLUTELY objective sense! STAR WARS is only supported by the fans of the original trilogy … Star Wars is an over-hyped mess that should have ended … the more Star Wars content you get the MORE you will see that ONLY the the fans will be supporting the Star Wars brand … ARCANE is a NEW and much BETTER story that is really a small story not one involving planets …
I know nothing about LoL and avoided this show because of that. Then when ep4 hit i decided to give the first ep a try.
Again, i knew nothing about LoL, read no reviews or heard anything about the show but after 20 mins of ep 1 i knew this was good.
Really glad to see it doing so well. Cant wait for season 2. This is probably ranked as one of the best series ive watched, i liked it that much

I legitimately just binged this entire show in one day. It is INCREDIBLE. Im a League player and I LOVED it so much. It stood by itself, separate from the game, while also honoring some things that players can see or understand!

Probably people are SICK and TIRED of the WOKE BULLSHIT on Twitter from Pedro Pascal and Carl Weathers they're two of the most beta fucks I ever seen from Hollywood males. I won't even bother calling them men. They sat idly by watching the mob attack Gina Carano. They made sure to list their pronouns like good little bitches though.
I think it is deserved. Best animation and style of the graphics I've seen in a long time (first was Spiderverse). It was refereshing to see something this gritty, "concept art" come to life, painterly look in the characters and the worldbuilding. The plotlines were great as well. It relied on many tropes but it wasn't a problem right away because they made it WORK. Incredible character arcs, portrayed tragedy and motivation really well it makes anyone invested to the characters and what happens to them.
There were some flaws, sure. I wished there were more time to develop the characters' relationships so that the key events had more impact. But I still loved it, at least no scene dragged for me + no long boring exposition.
I think its wonderful that people who haven't played League of Legends it are appreciating Arcane, and those that have are all psyched for the little hints and foreshadowing layered into the show.

oh geez I tried watching wheel of time because the trailers looked pretty good but it was so boring and so generic I couldn't even get through the 1st episode, maybe its more interesting for those who have read the books but you shouldn't need to have prior knowledge of something to enjoy it as a tv show. Had no interest in watching arcane but ill probably check it out now.

Ulysses 31 was French animation, they have a respectable history when it comes to, dessin animé. This is on the watch list as people are raving about it. And I like a good story.
It's a piece of crap.
What an amazing show. Cracked the game-to-show ceiling! Feels done by people who weren’t after just a cash-grab, but actually cared about story-telling. The wider lore is fantastic and I am now hooked!
I just finished Arcane, probably the best thing Netflix has ever released. No personal history with League of Legends, idk the lore or anything about any characters, but I felt everything about this show was firing on max cylinders. Story was amazing, characters were compelling, action was top notch, and animation style was stunning.
Arcane is excellent media. I watched it on a recommendation of my daughter, who has tried to explain the lore behind the champions and League of Legends, but I'm too old to care.

So if you liked Arcane, here are some games you can try instead of League of Legends:
– The Ruined King (developed by the creators of Darksiders Genesis and Battle Chasers)
– Legends of Runeterra (card game with a chill community and lots of fun)
– Hextech Mayeh (Geometry Dash but with Ziggs as the main character)
– Or wait until the release of Proyect L developed by the Cannon Brothers (co-creators of Rollback Netcode and some of the founders of EVO Championship series).
Considering Netflix has so many more subscribers than Disney+ that isn’t very hard
