  1. My new Oblivion character is a Hand-to-hand Argonian fighter named Throws-Many-Punches. While he was still in the Imperial prison he received a vision of the upcoming Oblivion crisis but he was still locked up. The vision, which was, of course, sent to all Argonians by the Hist, showed him that the majority of his marsh-brothers and marsh-sisters were returning to the homeland and becoming empowered by the sap in order to prepare for the Daedric invasion. By the time Throws-Many-Punches got out of jail, he figured he might as well stay in Cyrodiil, train with the Fighters Guild and protect the locals who had no idea what was about to befall them since he was shown that Black Marsh would emerge victorious anyway.

  2. I love how TES lore is in depth to the point where the tes universe’s origin story isn’t just unknown but is contested between multiple myths based on race, religion, and culture. I have myself convinced either this one or the nirn being a daedric realm one are the truth theu make the most sense

  3. People forget, the Argonians don't live simply because they're primitive. The stonework of the Xanmeers and the magic of the Hist are as advanced as anything the Mer races have ever done. The Argonians live simply because they choose to live simply, and others would be wise to respect their choice.

  4. Damn, I’ll never be able to unsee this theory.
I really do have to admit, it’s an extremely compelling case.
Just as extreme as the marshes and swamps deep in the heart of Argonia 😉🦎👾

  5. Muppet wasn’t sithis the one that predated the aedra and daedra? And if he made the hist who in turn made them wouldn’t the hist be daedra lord equivalents and hist the lesser daedra in a sense?

  6. I think the trees and sap and all is more a common theme of the elder scrolls than sign that argonians are daedric, in fact it may be the other way around since the hist and argonians are in touch with older things than aedra and daedra so it could be the daedra saw the argonian stuff and took influence

  7. If aedra = our ancestors and deadrea != our ancestors and argonians aren't descendants of the aedra,
doesn't that make the aedra to daedra,
if you look at it from the argonians perspective?

  8. In my head canon the Hist most likely figured out how to stay on Nirn while maintaining their omnipotence and omniscience by destroying their sense of self and becoming identical unidentifiable trees that rely on other creatures to exert their will. essentially Chim in reverse.
