Arma 2 "DMR" in Escape from Tarkov

The DayZ Mod DMR was one of the most iconic weapons in the game and I tried my best to emulate the look, feel and functionality in Esacpe from Tarkov. The biggest difference is the optic. I could have ran with a number of different choices, but I felt the FF-4-16 was the best. A march tactical would cosmetically suit the weapon more, but wouldn’t function the same.

  1. Hey Deadly! the reason you can’t fold AK’s with the rubber stock is because in real life, when folding the rifle with the rubber it doesn’t ride the gun flush enough to engage the folding mechanism so it just kinda flings freely until it folds back to engaged. Love the video!

  2. IRL the rubber pad installed on top of a skeleton stock of an AK does indeed prevent the folding stock to lock to the body. The scope mount on an AK is on the same side as the stock would fold, so that is 1:1 also. Pretty good detail if you ask me. You have to try it to realize it. lol.

  3. Bizon is in the game already, they just didn't add the helix drum magazine (which was discontinued anyway since it was prone to jamming and too expensive).

Edit: Forgot to say it's the PP-19. Same weapon without the ability to mount the helix mag.

  5. Ah the memories! I camped the silo tower in Cherno for nearly 2 weeks with the DMR. Got over 100kills and had my squad bringing me ammo constantly. Such a shame what happened to DayZ. Standalone came no where near capturing the feels of the mod.
