  1. They made it ugly on purpose so players wouldn't totally revolt like the would if it was awesome. It's to get us slowly used it. It's basic marketing. And it will happen more and more as we get used to it. Watch.

  2. Paid transmog, mounts etc is only somewhat acceptable in a free to play game imo. In a game that you have to buy the box copy of and then subscribe to retain access it is just a kick in the junk. They weaselled this stuff in originally under the guise of charity drives for non combat pets, exclusive items for things you just happened to pay for like pre-orders, event tickets etc and now here we are.

  3. This is a mistake, a big mistake. It's one of the things i hate with a passion in Elder Scrolls Online. It starts small and next thing you know they will be selling in game item skins you would normally get from just playing (like they do now in ESO). I admit WoW has never been the game for me , simply because i could not pay for it as a kid so i never got into it, but i always thought that the collection of mounts and item skins is really well done and can keep you busy for months if not years. As long as they make exclusive outfits that are not in the game AND the game is free to play i can accept it , but i see toxic practices creep in MMOs more and more no matter the business model. I understand they need to make money but they also need to think what would hinder the experience. I think Blizzard is seeing how other big MMOs are handling their stores and are starting to realize with how much they can get away with. One thing though, out of all the MMOs i have played Guild Wars 2 (haven't played it in a long time) seemed to handle their store the best way , ESO the worst and WoW should not have one at all in my opinion. The progression of the ESO store , went from "Ya here are some skins, maybe a mount or something useless and dumb looking" to "Ready , to instantly buy Skill Trees, entire collections of in game set skins, consumables and a ton of other stuff?". It's toxic and it goes against everything an MMO should be.

  4. It's easy go back to faction basics Horde VS Alliance (Or combine them and make an Azeroth faction) VS Undead VS Legion VS Void… not that hard

Artificial Progression…. you mean like how Heirlooms tell people NOT to play their character so the rested xp can build up

  5. Holy fuck Asmon cannot stop reeing about the transmog. I used to sub 6 months at a time because you actually save money that way. And you get cool free shit every 6 months. You don't HAVE to buy any of this shit. And it isn't like Asmon is going to unsub anytime soon. So why does he really give a shit? FFS.

  6. I have extreme trouble thinking Warcraft 4 would be successful at all, might sell well due to the brand – but they couldn't even remake fucking 3 properly. What chance would a whole new game have?

  7. @asmongold With regard to "paid" transmog sets; why do you care. I also think is dumb, but only because it's ugly. But it's a way for making money. It helps keep the game going. I get what you say, about paying for the game and subscriptions, but as you said, you don't buy it yourself so why do you care. Just curious.

  8. funny part is, in ff14 you get most good looking transmogs ingame, also some as "veteran bonus" aka as a reward for total bought game time. the sets in the ff14 shop is mostly just "you want that very special look/dress like a specific character? well you can buy it"

  9. World of Warcraft created their store in October 2013. You are arguing this point SEVEN YEARS TOO LATE. You are disingenuous saying that the game is number one because it didn't have this – when it actually did . Nice rosy glasses, Ass.

  11. Depressing thought. Think of all the money all of us will have wasted over the years when WoW decides to close up shop. All of our pixels and digital property will be gone just like that.

  12. Warcraft lore is way too fucking complicated to make Warcraft 4, unless you just cut out 90% of the lore added in WoW expansions that was not native to the warcraft universe from before WoW.
WoW lore is like a fucking soap opera that has literally no creativity, desperately introduces a character and makes them a shallow villain so they have a villain. I long for quality lore in WoW again, not some shitty half-assed 3rd grade story.
