will patch 6.1 save wow?
yea i sure feel like the game values my commitment in classic when a shaman purges the buffs i got, or when people multiboxing one shot you while stealing your black lotus
Wasn't a Cataclysm patch when LFR was introduced? Maybe LFG at some point too? That's when guilds started to become less necessary, relationships were less needed to accomplish goals in game. In the coming expansions even more features were implemented that destroyed existing community…. cross servers/realms etc etc. Compared to the first installments of WoW, I now experience organic socialization in this game much less than I used to. I can accomplish many goals in the retail game with out building a social network… I'm in a guild now and communities, but never feel the need to group to accomplish things. If I work on goals in a zone with other players, I usually never see them again, people can be excellent players, bad players, fun people to group with, or total douches… it doesn't matter though, because for me, they are just replaced and therefore doesn't matter because available players to fill those roles are enormous. Making friends while doing the content was a pro to this multi player game, when the game encouraged the organic creation of socialization in the first 3 titles… currently though, for me, it lacks this characteristic in its current build.
Why you keep falling for Bellular's shitty clickbait videos? Silly Asmonbald.
no one wants classic cata, id say after TBC or Wrath Classic they need to start on classic+
yeah I agree, if you quit because you can’t no matter how hard you try, that leaves a sour taste in your mouth 💯
WoW has no competition at all in the MMO genre. Literally doesn't matter if shadowlands is a success or not
I think they need to just do 1 side copys of the first 3 expantions of wow with "limited" servers
Dude spamming Trump in chat every 5 seconds… how the fuck didn’t he get timed out?
Wow, bellulars massive variety of video titles is amusing….. what's next, why I quit shadowlands, will 9.1 will save shadowlands, will 9.2 save shadowlands, will shadowlands save shafowlands, will bliz fuck off already, and take the youtubers with it….
Imo no AAA game needs the marketing budget they have. Has anyone here actually bought a game because some asshole Hollywood actor popped up in TV advertising it? Does anyone even know a friend who did that? I certainly don't. It's always word of mouth, social media, own research for cool new titles or just seeing a interesting-looking game in the shop. Or well, maybe if it's completely new IP it may need some extra promotion but still not to the extent that companies think they need to. And when it's established IP, Activision Blizzard posts that Shadowlands is coming in their relevant social media platforms and Bnet launcher and millions people know within a day and through word of mouth that circle expands exponentially. How many additional people besides those will actually be reached through expensive ad campaign? Few million? And parents seeing the ads won't help either because WoW is the number one game they are trying to protect their kids from. Nobody's like "oh gosh these green monsters killing these medieval humans looks so amazing that I have to buy this for my child as Christmas gift!" And as Asmon said, with game like WoW sold copies don't matter as much as players kept. 1 player who stays 6 months is worth more than 2 people who play only for a month and quit. They are already in the game, they don't need advertising. They need blue post that streamers and youtubers can read for them.
And of course it's also a fact that I don't know actual statistics or very little about advertising in general but I just fail to see expensive ad campaign paying itself back. But on the other hand I can see companies doing it just out of perceived necessity and safety. I can see them twisting the statistics in their favor and contributing the successes to their marketing instead of other factors and losses to factors out of their control even though what they did was perfect. And when you've always launched game/expansion with massive ad campaign, you don't have anything to compare to. Or well, you kinda do. You have the era when your company was too small to have ad campaign that massive and when gaming overall was smaller thing. You then compare your current sales to those numbes and suddenly ads have made everything better.
Meanwhile games like Minecraft, Undertale, Among Us, Stardew Valley and dozens more have become incredible successes with almost zero marketing and no previous audience.
no … no it can't – just play classic – the new blizz systems are so useless it's stunning
Anytime those idiots level a toon and refuse to run group content without payment up front, Blizzard has to crack down hard, now, bust the scammers in the balls!
I wish they would remove all the psychological/skinner box timegating analytic shit and just create a game that's fun in whatever way the systems are. Now it feels they are creating a goddamn excel sheet regarding how "fun" BfA was.
Oh I really hope so can't wait for classic wotlk miss wrath to this day
''That's really nice, I would get that for my mom.'' Damn… Sometimes I wish I was his mom…
Classic saved WOW
I got my first pc in mid/late October 2020, a few days b4 that halloween event ended. (Got all event acheivments too. except for pepe. I've always wanted to play wow since all I've played is FF online on ps4.i preordered shadowlands epic edition 😅 1 thing I noticed is players are more toxic on wow tho and people getting upset over npc skin color just proves it.. you can't make mistakes in dungeon finder or these children or grown men cry in their mom's basements… it's hilarious seeing someone get mad at pixels 😂
I use to play VWOW Hardcore 40 man raid HARD CORE! I stopped playing after WOTLK I'm not back to check out Shadowlands. What I learned and what I do different now is. I don't care so much I play have fun when I get gear so be it. I'll be Pvpin having a good time when I can get stuff I'll get it. I learned to relax and not make a big deal outta things in wow sit back and enjoy it what's the rush
Zack should also wear a t shirt and blazer while making videos. Then when he rolls his chair away signature short pants. Gotta stay comfy and look good too.
I have a way to save WoW.
Yes that's why I like runescape I never got bored I just ran out of energy and needed a large mental break. Trimmed Completionism Cape could basically be its own job title.
They need to remove the cash shop completly. Not game breaking (yet), but now with even transmogs in there its just such a shit move. I remember seeing a store mount ingame and finding out that it was bought. I was so mad, this ment I would never get it. And yet I payed for every expansion and vanilla box price, 12 euro's per month for more than 10 years. Maybe i'm greedy but I think that I earned the right to all the content. I was getting bored with the game back then so I quit eventually, but after playing a month or so in BFA, I feel betrayed. So much shit in the shop, sad part is that I actually would grind for some of it if that was an option.
I will enjoy Asmons vids, but I won't be playing, bfa felt dead and soulless. Came across almost nobody while leveling, and if I did there was no interaction (I even got kicked from a dungeon group for jocking a bit, not offencive or anything just silly). Combine that community with a lfg system and you get a city afk simulator. Ofcourse a shit ton of people are playing etc but that is the vibe I get walking through city's. The 2 city's where people actually come that is.
i can't see what mythic+ without titanforging is going to provide after a few weeks of heroic / mythic raids.. feels like content is going to run out fast
wow Classic-Wrath is Wow 1. Cata-Shadowlands is wow 2… who knows what comes next..
Your offspec will always be less good then your main spec just like your main will always be better geared then a alt, its been like that since the start. Having a skill for a offspec that's slightly worse isnt gonna matter for most players and the tree's have been dumbed down so much they are barely distinguishable player power wise from each other now. I would argue the legendary and conduits matter far more than not having the access to all skills for every scenario that may come up.
If anything i see them removing the conduit swapping limit since it really doesn't matter. Majority of people will put their best in and leave it there forever only looking at it to replace the old with upgraded versions of the same conduit.
So … wait? When you listen to players, you profit? No fucking way, who would have thought.
game is what it is, its old, and it can not be saved. only big fans of the game will stay, and vanilla fanstics. am not saying that game is bad, its just super outdated, from graphics to gameplay. same thing over and over… no matter what blizzard do with current game, wont bring back old glory… only new wow project with new engine, and gameplay mechanics have a chance to succeed.
Im lost. People say classic was good because the wined up to end game took months and gearing out your character to be its "best" took a long time but if they do that in retail now those same people cry that they are time gating.
No.
