ASMR | The Medium (ear to ear whispering, atmospheric gameplay, ultra graphics, ray tracing)

Hi friends! Join me for a relaxing, whispered look at The Medium, a new atmospheric horror game from Polish developer Bloober Team. Featuring immersive sound design and near-photorealistic scenes brought to life with cutting-edge graphical effects like ray tracing and DLSS, this spooky title makes for a surprisingly good ASMR game despite its subject matter. If you enjoy this video and would like to see more, please let me know in the comments!

ASMR triggers include up-close, ear-to-ear whispering, incidental mouth sounds, controller sounds, and in-game soundscapes featuring rain, ticking clocks, and other soothing ambient sounds. I recommend listening with headphones for the best experience!

WHAT IS ASMR?
β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”
My videos are designed to trigger a relaxing feeling called ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response). ASMR is a particular sensation that some people experience when they hear quiet sounds like whispering and soft speaking or watch certain actions like slow hand motions. ASMR is often described as a pleasant tingling on the head and neck, accompanied by a feeling of deep calm and mild euphoria. Many people watch ASMR videos to relax and manage anxiety, stress, or insomnia. To learn more about ASMR, check out https://asmruniversity.com/about-asmr/what-is-asmr.

  1. Absolutely love the new mics and can’t wait for a video covering them! I’m excited to relax and fall asleep to this video! Maybe a bit too excited, as I’m not even tired anymore. Though I think the new mics and the crisp, mouth sounds-full audio of your voice will help me fall asleep in no time.

  2. ooooh a friend of mine is playing this on twitch. I didn't watch the whole game being streamed, though, because I'm struggling a little right now and when my friend said "suicide is never a solution" someone in chat "joked" 'depends, if you're really lonely nobody's gonna miss you'… so, you know, I closed the window.
I'm gonna watch this video and try to enjoy it πŸ™‚

  3. Games good so far. Not the best thing I've ever played or anything, but I adore the variety xbox has been putting out in their exclusives. Hitting every genre and trying new things.

  5. I really enjoyed this one, I was a little skeptical seeing as it was a mystery/horror game. But this was perfect for ASMR IMO. I’ve already fell asleep 3x trying to finish the episode. Would like to see another part to this! Keep up the great work.

  6. As a Pole I have to say that this game is really spot on as far as interior design of the Polish People's Republic era (50s through 90s) is concerned. Most people had the exact same furniture and fixtures at homes due to scarce availability of goods – Jack's apartment looks EXACTLY like my grandma's house (though its HUUUGE for Polish standards). And my entire family has similar paintings of the Black Virgin lol.

The part about the Siersza mine is actually historically accurate – its liquidation commenced on 1 Nov 1999 and by 2001 the mine was closed, as many other in Poland at the time.

Loved the video, the crisp sound of the new mics is amazing, though there's a bit too much mouth sounds for my liking (but hey, can't please everyone!).

I really appreciate your work, thanks for the great uploads!

  7. The lady at the start doing the talking.. Really gives me Elizabeth keen vibes from Blacklist but with shorter hair and a exhausted feel..

Like this is what she would be like after the death of red.
