  2. I love how this kid calls these games that came out when I was a kid "vintage.” Very surreal.

Star Wars: the Clone Wars (vehicle-based game), Godzilla: Save the Earth, and Star Wars: Obi-Wan were three of my favourites. As a matter of fact, I may actually boot up Save the Earth in a hour or so when I take a break from my lessons today. I haven't played it in a few months.

To those of you not old enough (so about 16 and under), even in the early 360 days, you literally didn't have to install a game or get first day patches before you could play it. They were all under 8 GB, almost every new game either introduced a new mechanic or better graphics or story, and you could just play them. If you were lucky and got a HUGE game like Metal Gear Solid 2, you had to play it across two disks.

Also, there was no Playstation vs xBox meme. You were probably lucky to get a gameboy, and another friend got an xBox with Halo 1 and 2, and another got a Gamecube, and another got an N64 or Dreamcast, and you all planned out sleep-overs of which house you will go to this weekend. And the coolest part was, your parents bought you game for their console and you both played it when you went over. If you were really lucky and had a friend that had both PS2 and an xBox, you went over to his house to watch Pay-Per-View, play pool, or play with the TiVo or DVR because they were rich.

    I was the Gamecube kid.

If you play any of the Halos, Super Mario Sunshine, Pikmin, Ratchet and Klank, Sly, Taz the Tasmanian Tiger, Spyro, etc. any of those games still hold there own and moreβ€”that is why Toys for Bob remade the first three Spyros, and did it excellent, might I add.
