I did a speed run to legend this season (compared to previous seasons), and now somehow made it to the leaderboard (first time for me). I'm just taking my team as far as I can
You are right the Que system is broken rn, I tried everything, tanking down to 2900s, climbing back to 3000’s, all the same wait time it seems, and I’m getting paired with people WAY out of my elo level (below and above)

As the creator of this team, if you run this team I'd highly suggest a lucky / high attack return Sableye! It's necessary to flip Venusaur and to win most CMP ties in the mirror + swampert and such
You will also catch quite a lot of ppl off guard that expect to win CMP because nearly everyone is running a big XL Sableye at this point in OGL

Wow so you are why I faced this team. Goodness it was an intensely close match. I've been using gfisk, shadow politoed, jellicent. My opponent switched immediately to sableye so I switched to politoed. I shielded once, and he didn't shield at all. Just let the sableye go and brought the a9 back in. I threw 2 weather balls before getting knocked out. Brought out my gfisk, got weather balled, and then they switched to umbreon which scared me. I threw 3 earthquakes, 2 were shielded. I had 1 hp and switched to my jellicent. Sadly the umbreon had like 5 or 6 snarls worth of energy. I shielded 1 foul play. My opponent caught an ice beam on their a9. I did not charge it up at all and managed to get 4 bubbles in. Got 1 more bubble and CMP tied against umbreon. Threw my ice beam leaving it on 1 hp, and I got knocked out due to foul play. Then 1 mud shot with my 1 hp gfisk won the game lol. That was waaaayyyyy too close
For me, GBL just seems less essential than it once did. I don't know how much this is Niantic's fault exactly but there are other games which work better and other things on my mind. If not for events like Halloween Cup, I might play even less than I do now just to avoid the stale metas of standard leagues. Unfortunate, but it's how I feel.

Wow I love this team so much. I used it for 2 sets straight and all my opponents (yes ALL 10 of them) had nidoqueen in the front and scrafty in the back. For people who say there is no algorithm, I agree that Niantic doesn't have that capability of creating one but they did create GBL algorithm (even if by fluke), it exists. Because as soon as I swapped in my psychic umbreon all the nidoqueens went MIA. Doesn't feel like a coincidence. Does it? I am myself skeptical about people calling out algorithm but it exists.
