0:35 – Buildup here was super fucking solid, and the crash came out nice as well. Great work.
– So far, a lot of Sans's notes feel a little quiet. Not by a huge margin, but the instrumental sometimes swallows his voice a bit too much.
1:21 – You got these build up moments down fucking bad.
– At this point, the quieter Sans actually starts to bleed so much with the instrumentals that it almost feels like Boyfriend isn't fighting Sans, but the song itself in its entirety—it's kind of interesting, actually.
– The background music distortions really ebb and flow with the song's ups and downs, this came out really well
2:58 – Alright, lets see what you really can do to this song.
His theme as a build up, sounds good.
So far, the background is going harder, but it's still back and fourth. That snare is doing some fucking work, though.
3:32 – There we go, that sounds really harmonic—almost hypnotic in a way.
3:44 – Shit man, that percussion is going HARD. I had to literally do a rewind when it kicked in just to enjoy it twice.
3:56 – You know, I was a little disappointed that the build up before the Freestyle finale wasn't His theme, but this moment made up for it. Still, this part actually completely shows what I mean about Sans's voice feeling a bit drowned out. It almost feels like Sans is the background instrument here, and the notes from the background are the main ones. Even so, this was still a banger through and through.
Total result: I don't want to say it's better than the original, but that's mostly because they feel completely different. The original one puts a lot more strength into the character notes, making it feel like a true Sans fight. This one feels more like you're literally fighting the flames of hell in its entirety, with the face of Sans being made within those flames. It feels more all encompassing rather than a stand off. To me, since Sans's voice is almost background in-and-of itself, the vibe I get is more along the lines of trying to escape before you are consumed.
