Please do a cleric build after, I love Shadowheart’s character but I feel like she is useless aka I don’t know how to use her in combat
Enjoying your content!
Great info. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the video. Love ur content
I think bless only gives a d4 to hit. Not the flat +4. Otherweise greatweapon master is nice feat. Would be cool tho, if we could decide to use the +10dmg -5tohit like it s in the 5e. Try to prone people by casting ice surfaces or creating other effects. When people are laying on the ground, you recieve advantage with melee weapons. Guidingbolt or faery fire(light domain cleric) also grants that. Or cast hold person on humanoids. They get paralyzed, and every hit is a guaranteed crit…
I like but I already messed up by picking reposite 😢
Honestly, if your not going with the greatweapon master feat, might as well stick with 1 handers and shield, in which case riposte is a bit better as your AC is higher. the dueling feat adding +2 flat damage jumps your average 1h damage up close to 2 hand levels. For example 1d10 longsword with great weapon fighting and 16 str would be about 9.5 average damage hit, 1d8 longsword with dueling and 16 str would be 9.5 average damage per hit as well. getting a greatsword (like the sword of justice) will increase this but point made. So if your not gonna take that huge +10 damage bonus for the measly -5 penalty (backstab and advantage are super easy to get in this game) then stick with dueling
Half-Elf Wood Elf variant for the extra movement is better than Shield dwarf
Do you have to pick a subclass or can you just do straight fighter, I just don't like the two choices we have for the fighter.
Can you tell me whats the red skill icon on Lae's? I've never seen it. It's listed on Bonus Action slots… Oo
Riposte is an OP ability in early lvls of DnD, an extra full strength attack? Come on, at lvl 3 that is doubling your damage in a turn, essentially allowing you a situational action surge attack 4 times a combat. The trouble in BG3 is they haven’t worked out all the bugs in reactions yet, and the ability to choose when to use it is key to its effectiveness. Hopefully they will implement a prompt when you are missed by attacks. This might sound clunky, but remember you can only use it once a combat round, and opportunity attacks take up that reaction.
Un rogue de fuerza, con armas pesadas y al lvl 4 habilidad de armas pesadas. 1 punto de acción, 2 puntos de extra accion.
What is the skill @3:17 on Lae’s combat bar right next to your ranged menacing attack? It’s on the “ – “ key and the icon is dark red background with a bright red squiggly or whip looking pattern. I have played a few hours (to level 3) and I do not recognize that icon/skill.
Thanks for the great videos, keep it up! 🙂
Just want to say thanks for your vids on BG3. I am having a blast just firing it up, trying crazy builds and just having fun with all of the systems. This game is going to be phenomenal when it's done.
Some great build info here, good job.
My fighter only shows lvl one fighter and lvl 3 battle Master on their character screen. Lvls 2 and 4 are missing not sure if any skills from those lvls are though, been playing Solasta instead lol.
But doesn’t two-weapons fighting give you guaranteed high damage as the off-Hand will have the strength ability added to it? (if I’ve understood its description correctly).
Bless is a d4, not +4
People keep saying that Lae'zel's armor is the best you can get in EA, that is wrong. You can buy heavy chain mail with AC16
I really loved using a +1 Pike I found I'm the Tiefling Blacksmith, it's a spear doing 1d10, has rush, and reach making it even easier to get into range
Increase your hit chance by getting behind your target every time. “Backstab” isn’t just for rogues.
Bless doesn't give you a +4 to hit bonus, but 1d4, which means it can give a random amount from +1 up to +4.
Nice video and thanks on the tip on using blessed by the cleric, i went for weapon master choice with my dwarf to try and see how it worked but i found myself missing wayy too much lol but ill try it again and bring Shadowheart with me
a d4 does not mean it will always add 4 it means it rolls a dice 1-4
