  1. This game just throws away everything we've been accustomed to in RPG games. You go to the random well, find the nest of giant teleporting spiders, you yeet yourself to the purple hole because why not, meet an eloquent and kind Hobgoblin wizard that introduces you to the eloquent and kind f*cking Illithid, and they're both super helpful and chill.
Meanwhile in Dragon's Dogma that I bought few days ago:"THESE ARE PAWNS. THEY HELP YOU, HAVE NO PERSONALITY AT ALL AND YOU REALLY DON'T CARE AT ALL ABOUT THEM OR THE PLOT"

  2. I really like this interaction, but shouldn't Lae'zel be lunging at the mind flayer on sight? It felt weird for her to have a few choice words and then fall silent for the rest of the conversation. Maybe in the completed game they should have the player make a roll to convince her to stand down.
