Plot twist thought – Maybe this was in process before the Tadpole got you and its the tadpole fighting the connection? And they are using the tadpole weakena you unknowingly and it triggers the dream as they are panicking to find their weapon/lover now? Looking for you since kidnapped. Two villains that got world domination blocked by the illithid? 🤔
Or since its Shadow Magic – Maybe a big powerful demon? Using a the tadpole as a experiment
