  1. Misty Step, Armor of Agathys, Shatter and Expeditious Retreat are all good spells for kiting murder hobo builds. Just find high ground enemies can't reach using Misty Step, armor up, and blast everything till it's dead.

Works every time. You can solo all of Act 1 with a Warlock.

  2. I played a warlock without Eldritch Blast and it was a lot of fun.
Pact of the Fiend for temporary hp on kills.
Highest stat dexterity, then charisma, then constitution.
Armour of shadows as an Eldritch Invocation.
I had 16 AC before any additional buffs (18 with shield of faith) and could deal a lot of damage by dual wielding finesse weapons. Thanks to the high dexterity archery was a decent option as well. I gave Lae'zel a shield and the protection fighting style to make me even tankier.

  3. Hmm some criticisms I have for your build. First, beguiling influence is severely outclassed by other invocations (namely repelling blast, fiendish vigor, armor of shadows, mask of many faces). Another thing is hex is almost an essential spell to have. You mention it being good for Fiendlocks, but it is just as good on GOOlocks. You also DO NOT have to save hex for a tough boss enemy. Once you cast hex, you can recast it as many times as you like until you have a LONG rest. So you can combat, cast hex, cast any other spell (out of slots), short rest after combat to regain slots, and cast hex FOR FREE at the next combat. This also allows you to hex multiple targets in a single combat, you just need your currently hexed target to die and then you can recast the spell without expending a spell slot. Another point worth mentioning is that any equipment that gives you damaging spell casts (I believe there is gear for both magic missile and scorching ray) is very effective on a warlock. Not only does it mean you don't need to waste one of your two slots to cast the spell, but the damage procs hex and so it effectively does 1d6 more than normal. In fact, each instance of damage procs hex, so for magic missile and scorching ray it is 3d6 (avg 10.5) more damage!

  4. how come no1 talking about how this game is just a re-paste divinity game with baldurs gate name on it.. 60 dollars for a re-paste and not even full game, how come no1 mad, this it Bethesda level shenanigans. it literaly feels like playing divinity 1.5 between game 1 and 2, skills lay out, spells, colors, display, literally everything.

  5. Is it only me or the game does not use your ability or proficiency modifiers when making rolls on screen? I even had situation when there was DC 6 Persuasion check, I had total modifier of +5 and got result of 4 🙁

  6. Honestly I don't feel like they do much research for these builds, maybe I just misunderstood but he seems to not understand that once you kill a hexed target you can re-cast it without using a spell slot.

  7. I disagree with the INT stat placement, WIS would benefit a Warlock more since it helps in resisting spells casted upon you. INT does nothing really benefit outside of dialog options which you will be using your CHR for anyway.

  8. Hellish rebuke is arguably better than misty step, as it is free attack with decent amount of damage. And besides that, you can cast it, than rest to resupply your spell slots. Reminds me of sequencers from original baldurs gate

  9. Once Hex is cast, you can reapply it as a bonus action, without using a spell slot, provided you maintain concentration. This allows you to hex multiple enemies, one at a time, per fight. Hexed enemies take an extra 1d6 from Eldritch Blast. Agonizing/Repelling blast, beguiling is not necessary imo, and the knockback from repelling can be incredibly useful. I have a +5 on intimidation checks already without beguiling. Use Disengage for your movement if an enemy moves into melee range to avoid attacks of opportunity.

  10. Nice video! Personally I think acquiring Persuasion and Deception proficiency via your background/race is slightly more preferable. The Eldritch Invocations can be extremely powerful and fun to use, and using them to acquire skill proficiencies feels somewhat lackluster. For instance, on my character, I took Agonizing Blast and Repelling Blast. I've found Repelling Blast to be especially useful in combat when there is an enemy precariously positioned on high ground. If the initial EB damage isn't enough to kill them, the fall damage surely will. Also good for knocking enemies into burning/frozen/greased areas for extra damage/movement usage.

  11. Warlocks in Early Access are awful. Compared to the other pacts, Chain Pact is MILES behind. Sure, Eldritch Blast is a really good cantrip, but I'd love to get more out of my Warlock, and I just can't with only Chain Pact.

  12. Ive been tinkering with lock some. I used a githyanki and had i think its not infront of me +2 in cha con and dex. This gave me a 17ac in the starting area once i borrowed the githyanki armor. Eldritch blast and trure strike. This with hex gives you the ability to throw out 1d10+2+1d6 at advantage from anywhere. To step up the armor even more since you won't lilely use melee get the great sword that gives you tyrs blessing and you have a lock with 19ac you'll lose advantage from true strike but you can use the high ground tactic if you like here while being missed by other ranged attacks. The githyanki jump will also allow you to navigate the battle field without a spell slot for misty step
