Baldur’s Gate 3, should you buy now or wait? This early access version of Baldur’s Gate 3 shows a promising looking game, but its far from finished. If you are wondering if its worth buying now, or waiting until its finished then this video might help you decide, as it really depends what type of player you are. Is Baldur’s Gate 3 worth it? Personally, I’ve enjoyed playing the whole of Act 1 but its full of bugs and unfinished scenes and quests. I’ll be leaving the game alone until its fully finished so I can enjoy the story in its entirety.

Who bought into Baldurs Gate 3 then? What have you thought of it so far? What class will you play on release?
Take a look at my Divinity Original Sin review here https://youtu.be/4Q80T3_S0ZA . You can certainly see the influence on BG3 but thats not a bad thing. Larian have managed to retain the feel of a D&D game with BG 3. I'm just going to leave it to mature like a ripe cheese now and play it again when its fully finished so I can enjoy the story to its fullest!
With these types of games I want to play through, engaging in the complete story and trying to role-play the character. I just cannot see the point of picking it up now only to have to wait. This is how I got the most from BG1 and 2 as well as Icewind Dale et al. I am currently playing through Pillars of Eternity in the spirit of nostalgia for those original games. As a Star Citizen backer I think I can cope with another year…
I don't regret buying it yet! It's a great game for early access. Does have issues though and there is a lot of flesh needed on the bones.
On the spell front you need to save your level spells and use your cantrips which can be very good. The thing I disliked most is the jumping bunny hopping just seems to break the feel.
I really like that there is a cinematic when interacting with anyone or anything. Something DOS 1 and 2 lacked. It makes me feel more connected with the characters and story.

looking forward to the full release, but I think this year I'm good with what I already have until Cyberpunk 2077, and in a post Cyberpunk 2077 world I won't have a life outside Night City for the forseeable future. Therefore I'll wait for now.
I bought the early access and I was very disappointed. I am a fan of old BG games, so I was hyped about it, especially after seeing others play on youtube, but upon buying it, the game was a buggy mess.
I know, early access and all that, but paying 60 EUR for it, I still expected better.
With textures not loading for certain objects, enemies not spawning after I loaded a save, and the game randomly freezing, I decided that I'm not touching the game until full release. Whatever build certain youtubers were playing that ran smooth and almost bug free, it wasn't what I played.
Do not buy early access, guys!
so i really like all the reference i could already get. Like Volo who was there in BG1 and BG2 (non playable) and the reference for Faldorn, playable in 1 kill-able in 2. Also if I can recall there was a mind-flayer section in BG2 where your story now … originates? There the mind-flayers warned you they are in all of BG.
I look forward for the full version
