Baldur's Gate 3 Guide | Rogue Class for Early Access (D&D 5th Edition)

In this Baldur’s Gate 3 guide video, we will discuss why you should choose a rogue, what it means to play as Astarion, the best races to choose from, and rogue archetypes that will be available on Early Access. It’s already August so it might be safe to say that Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access announcements will be shared sooner rather than later. The question then becomes, “Is the rogue class suitable for your playstyle?” Rogues are able to master a variety of skills including stealth and deception, disarming traps and opening locks, depending on their archetypes. When it comes to combat, rogues focus on precise strikes rather than multiple attacks to weaken the enemy. In fact, they perform better when they are well-hidden or when they stealthily attack a distracted enemy. A few rogues even learn magic to aid their abilities. So if you want to be a rogue, you have to prioritize specific abilities for this class. If you prefer to be nifty and quick on your feet, choose Dexterity as your highest ability score; if you wish to excel in investigation and arcana, then the Arcane Trickster archetype is for you so make Intelligence your second highest ability; and if you intend to smooth-talk your way through deceptions and social interactions, invest in Charisma.

Abducted, infected, lost. You are turning into a monster, but as the corruption inside you grows, so does your power. That power may help you to survive, but there will be a price to pay, and more than any ability, the bonds of trust that you build within your party could be your greatest strength. Caught in a conflict between devils, deities, and sinister otherworldly forces, you will determine the fate of the Forgotten Realms together. Forged with the new Divinity 4.0 engine, Baldur’s Gate 3 gives you unprecedented freedom to explore, experiment, and interact with a world that reacts to your choices. A grand, cinematic narrative brings you closer to your characters than ever before, as you venture through our biggest world yet. (Baldur’s Gate 3 on Steam)

The Baldur’s Gate 3 Guide series aims to teach the basics of Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition mechanics to understand how the game works before it becomes available on Early Access. Here, we will break down each rule set in accordance with the information we know about Baldur’s Gate 3 so far.

  1. Ah, that sultry asian voice, I love hearing you read about the various dnd rule sets and Baldur's Gate 3 lore. Please keep the videos coming. You get me so hyped for early access. 🥰😆

  2. This makes me think Loki. If you're looking for other spells for this class I would glance back through his myth story & maybe some of the avengers for other abilities. A quick look suggests astral projection, shape-shifting, hypnosis, molecular rearrangement, energy blasts, levitating, conjuration, cryokinesis, telekinesis and teleportation.
