  2. Honestly very excited. I've been waiting for someone to make a game using 5e mechanics and so far, it's everything I hoped for! Also I personally am very excited for the turn based combat. I don't know where that stands as of now, because I know a lot of people complained, but personally I prefer it. Much more true to the tabletop game, and I prefer having the time to think. That's why I have trouble getting into the infinity engine games. Too hectic, and I don't feel like my character is an individual during combat because combat is more about the party as a whole, if that makes sense. For some reason turn based doesn't make me feel that way, don't ask me why!

  3. Holy crap, it will be my first early access that i will buy.
Common i was waiting to return to Faerûn since 2000, let's boost boys!
Honestly this is not BGIII that i dreamed about. It looks more like NWN combined with DOS2. However I see that they want to bring me epic story with non-linear feeling and this is what I loved in BG2.
    So take my cash!

  4. So likely, people relate leveling up as a main feature and one to power and progression cried for it. Here's a fix: Make it level 100 cap, but every 10th level only gives you stats and skill points, etc. There now the retards can enjoy the "DING", the feel of progress, power, accomplishment.

  5. 12 levels? Who the fuck wants to cap at level 12? HOW is a level 12 going to take on an army of Illithids?
This game won't be fun til modders get in and do what they do best: fix games.
Another bummer is that this low level camp means no prestige classes. I dunno why developers are so afraid to create high level DnD campaigns.
No lie, the more I learn about this game, the less excited I am. I was already iffy given how bad the Divinity games are, to me, but all this info pretty much seals it. : /

  6. Well I am a fan of no level limits. Most games like this the story is like the tutorial to develop a character will players be able to run their own worlds? I hope this game is not on rails and we are forced to follow the story each time we play. Are there going to be other adventures besides the main story line? Will the game go beyond this story? Will other modules be added to continue playing? What the economic system like in the towns with merchants? Hiring mercenaries? Will the city states be in competition? Is this going to be a world we can really play in?

  7. 59.99 for early access is a robbery. You are buying a fraction of what the game will offer. Why not make it $39.99 or at least 49.99$? So that people who support you early on with little to no content don't feel robbed? 59.99$ for early access is too much, way too much. And don't tell me "Just wait for full release herp-a-derp" That's not the point. If they release an early access game it should be cheaper than a full release game. It is the most common sense…

  8. If only this game wasn't made by Larian…
Sure, DoS is fun and sold well, but the writing is fucking piss poor. They can't write a mature and coherent story to save their lives. The DoS copy pasta in BG3 isn't giving me any hope either.
BG3 has Obsidian written all over it. It should be in their hands.
Wizards of the Coast rot everything they're touching recently.

  9. I think level 14-15 is a solid level cap personally. A lot of classes get some great features there, and it definitely feels like endgame power without so much endgame broken

  10. one of the best thing I remember about baldur's gate was the slow level progression. getting the next level felt like a real achievement and gave players the motivation to go back into areas that proved almost impossible to tackle before that. at first this slow progression concept was hard to perceive but later on it felt natural and a joy to look forward after hours of ingame play

  11. Shit on old fans.
Boo, boring ass soulless gameplay with way too bright divinity original sin look and feel.
Not what I would have in mind for a Baldur's Gate game.
Don't use the Baldur's Gate name for shameless cash grab banking on nostalgia and name.

Fuck wizards of the coast for ruining every freaking game they own for profits.

  12. I never early access, I have about 20ish early access titles on my steam wishlist all waiting for actual release. Yet I will be buying this one! I want them to use the money to make a good game and I know it will take me a year to settle on a main for my first playthrough anyway lol

  13. Oh man really questionable to use the open brain scene during the video so much, I was eating, not cool 🙁
I don't like the idea of people being able to decide what my character would do instead of myself, but hopefully the other stream functionality will be good.
Really looking forward to the game, but I'll only play it when its fully available. I don't want to have to quit halfway through the story, come back weeks or months later and no longer being immersed or knowing wtf is going on.

  15. Now that it's been out for a little while, do you still think that the cap will be around level 12? A part of me thinks it might be even higher. There is at least enough experience to reach level 6 (or even more if you went real berserk and killed everything) in the early access. So a part of me wouldn't think that they'd release their early access with half the amount of stuff already there. Especially when they said that the EA should take around 20 – 30 hours to complete and the entire game will be over 100 hours. I know that things begin to take longer to level, but that's pretty common with any RPG. As are stronger enemies with higher experience yields. I wouldn't surprised if they went up to even like level 15 or 16. Maybe for the shits, they bring it to 20 just to really round it out at standard max level. Kind of like, "if you REALLY want to get there. It's there". The way it seems to be portrayed too is that we may have to kill some gods. Which I feel like we'd have to be real stronk-like to pull it off.
