Last time I was this early Omnath wasn't… nvm, you get the idea.
Apologies for the reupload with the edit, been a nightmare recording this goblin section lol. You'll be pleased to know we're done with it now!
just popping in to push the second channel until i got time to catch up
I think you underutilize Shadowheart's kit, which has a strong out-of-combat use. As Cleric of Trickery, you might want to try using her spellslots for things other than dealing damage
blessed goblin content
I like the new camera position
I'm pretty sure Gale's necrotic shroud when he dies is related to his backstory, right? Didn't he say it was imperative he be resurrected? For the good of the many?
Volo's facial hair looks like a disguise
Hey Merchant, its not all bodies that have the necrotic aura… just Gale. But yeah, it is very annoying.
Honestly, I understand the jumps. I'm happy if you're happy, but if it gets unfun for you I have no problem for you waiting till some patches come out.
I am SO glad I haven't bought this game yet. $59.99 for an absolute mess? no thanks. The story is engaging… but ugh.
So how much of the game is in Early access?
Loving this game but one thing I have a problem with is that the enemies are just flat out mean. There is basically no point in being a tank, because as soon as you put on heavy armor the enemies will almost NEVER attack you. They will cross half the map, taking attacks of opportunity to do so, just so they can shoot at your cloth wearers. And then they will shoot at your downed cloth wearer. And then they will shoot him again for good measure. And maybe a couple more times to make sure he's dead.
It kind of seems strange that they would ignore the hulking 2h sword wielding eldritch knight standing next to them to literally shoot a downed character multiple times, just so they can punish the player. It might be a sensible action if the enemies were trying to punish the player as much as they could, but less reasonable if you consider that they SHOULD also be considering a 2h sword wielder as a threat.
Pretty sure that was a female bugbear, not ogre. There is a scene you missed in the previous village where you interrupt some mating bugbears (it sounds like I am joking but I am not) and the female is like… giant compared to the male. Editing to add: unless it was a mating bugbear and ogre… maybe??
Dev Head: And how did you go implementing that moon puzzle?
Dev: it's going great, just finishing the rotation speed now. We decided on 'slow enough to think about suicide'.
Dev head: Excellent
Really liking the playthrough despite the bugs. Keep it coming! Would be nice to see you play Divinity 2 as well!
If this is like Divinity you should try and abuse high ground as much as possible. Ladders are your friend Merchant.
I notice luck was not a feat. Interesting.
In the encounter where we first meet Wyll I thought "This dude seems like a character! I wonder if I can recruit him?" Then the goblins fucked him up and he just died on the spot so I assumed he was an ordinary NPC. Now i have something to look forward to in playthough 2: Keeping that moron alive! Loving the game and loving the play though.
@Merchant Right click on locked things and choose pick lock to unlock.
I find it reassuring that I've seen almost half a dozen playthroughs of this and while all the areas were all the same every single one has had a fairly unique approach to events and some gone different directions or orders entirely. This is a worthy addition to the BG series from what I've seen so far.
Light into Darkness, Darkness into the light, we are talking about the Underdark . 🙂
Too late now, but you could have used your second scroll of talking dead on the Druid guy.
That floor circle puzzle was just torturous. Who would want to hurt their player base like this? So slow to turn…
I really love this game!
I'm sure if someone has already mentioned it but martial adept actually stacks with battle master giving you extra options and 1 addition dice per short rest. You can take it on other classes or subclasses but battle masters like it best. Like wizards and ritual caster or magic initiate, or barbarians taking the tough feat.
There is a lever in that moon puzzle room that skips the whole puzzle I found it with a perception check.
