  1. Loving this game but one thing I have a problem with is that the enemies are just flat out mean. There is basically no point in being a tank, because as soon as you put on heavy armor the enemies will almost NEVER attack you. They will cross half the map, taking attacks of opportunity to do so, just so they can shoot at your cloth wearers. And then they will shoot at your downed cloth wearer. And then they will shoot him again for good measure. And maybe a couple more times to make sure he's dead.
It kind of seems strange that they would ignore the hulking 2h sword wielding eldritch knight standing next to them to literally shoot a downed character multiple times, just so they can punish the player. It might be a sensible action if the enemies were trying to punish the player as much as they could, but less reasonable if you consider that they SHOULD also be considering a 2h sword wielder as a threat.

  2. Pretty sure that was a female bugbear, not ogre. There is a scene you missed in the previous village where you interrupt some mating bugbears (it sounds like I am joking but I am not) and the female is like… giant compared to the male. Editing to add: unless it was a mating bugbear and ogre… maybe??

  3. In the encounter where we first meet Wyll I thought "This dude seems like a character! I wonder if I can recruit him?" Then the goblins fucked him up and he just died on the spot so I assumed he was an ordinary NPC. Now i have something to look forward to in playthough 2: Keeping that moron alive! Loving the game and loving the play though.

  4. I find it reassuring that I've seen almost half a dozen playthroughs of this and while all the areas were all the same every single one has had a fairly unique approach to events and some gone different directions or orders entirely. This is a worthy addition to the BG series from what I've seen so far.

  5. I'm sure if someone has already mentioned it but martial adept actually stacks with battle master giving you extra options and 1 addition dice per short rest. You can take it on other classes or subclasses but battle masters like it best. Like wizards and ritual caster or magic initiate, or barbarians taking the tough feat.
