Baldur’s Gate III is a role-playing video game that looks to offer both a single-player and cooperative multiplayer element. Players will be able to create one or more characters and form a party along with computer-generated characters to explore the game’s story. Optionally, players will be able to take one of their characters and team up online with other players to form a party. It was announced during the PAX East 2020 event that, unlike the previous Baldur’s Gate games, Baldur’s Gate III combat will be turn-based, similar to Larian’s Original Sin games

This video was bit of a surprise for me. I had completely forgotten about the Ranger, I know someone ring the Shame bell while i strip down and take my walk.

Sorry mate, you BG3 will NOT be using the 5e vanilla Ranger. First, Wizards of the Coast (WotC) themselves have redone the Ranger and, second, Larian and WotC have discussed new special versions for BG3. The BG3 video game version will NOT use your typical Favored Enemy and even less Favored Terrain.
Hate to tell you that in order for any D&D video game to be a thing, it's not going to go straight from the book. I expect there to be many changes throughout the rule set to accommodate a virtual platform. There will be changes to abilities, spells, and fundamental mechanics. Neverwinter Nights came the closest with 3rd edition, but still had to make changes. I wouldn't expect to see RAW Ranger at all. Close perhaps? I don't know. I doubt you're 75% right.
