I accidentally hurt Bennett twice and then solved the puzzle by pure luck. Seemed pretty fitting considering who I was working with.

I actually started this the other day, and I'm literally dumbstruck when I activated the other mechanism and Bennett got hurt. I need to exit and wait for someone to upload like this.
Does anybody know how this puzzle works? I tried to figure it out on my own, but I absolutely have no clue how I was supposed to solve this.

I solved it by trial and error but I still don't understand the logic behind it and I don't see it explained in any guide either. Why is the sequence like that? The torches aren't pointing against each other. I was also thinking it's related to tic tac toe but the number placements are random and there's no hints about it. Is there even any type of hint to begin with or is it just a trial and error thing?
Edit: Realised it. The first one is the "mold" and the other one's are the sequence of getting the mold 1 by 1. The hint says the sequence isn't the obvious one so that means you have to start from the 2 or 3 torches, the camera when you overview it is on the side of the 3 torches otherwise there's no hint that tells you that you should start that way other than the fact that it's button is visible from this position and the other buttons are pointing to the other side. Still don't think that's enough hits to get it right on the first try for most people though

I can't find the answer. So I decied to exit the game and find the answer by my self over night haha. Although this is only the game but i dont like to see him hurt
