Best 7.62 AK explained – Escape From Tarkov – Gun Guide

The changes in attachments with 12.9 completely rearranged which AKs are best. I break down which AK is best for stats and budget, asd well as go through my favorite budget build and the minimum recoil build.

Unfortunately with the way the new stats on attachments are set up, the AK-103 is the only real choice for running in the 7.62×39 AK series.

  1. Now that I think about it, the armored car build also benefits from the x47 forbiding you from folding the stock. So you have a weird grip thats not worth much, an unfoldable ugly stock, makes sense all you get stolen is optics, muzzle attachment and foregrip in that order. Another alternative to RK3 pistolgrip is the USPalm, thats cheaper and sold by lvl3 peecekeaper thats sometimes desirable to burn those pesky dollars.
Best mags are either the aluminum 30rd mags sold by prapor lvl4 or the uspalm 30rd sold by peecekeaper (peecekeaper mags are cheaper and in dollars). This going aside from the obvious "meta" ones X-47 for a 50 rounder and the polymer ak103 mags for the budget builds.

  2. The B-30 handguard + B-33 receiver combo (with everything else the same) is 1 ergo less and 1 recoil more (on both builds) than CMRD + Bastion and is so much cheaper than both builds when you don't have Mechanic level 4 for the CMRD handguard. The two-piece combo costs the same as CMRD handguard from Mechanic.

B-30 is the only handguard other than B-10M that fits with the B-33 receiver and it's amazing cause of that extra 0.5% recoil reduction over a Bastion. It's being slept on!

  3. Hail the chief! These builds are great, however what I really liked was how you discussed not only attachment stats, but also which are more likely to come back and why. Good on you Marine!

  4. for cheap builds, I tend to run the srvv compensator, b-10 handguard, a cobra with sight shade, rubber butt pad and maybe the tbl laser/ VPG foregrip. I rarely use full auto except for when people are under 20m (ie in dorms/resort) so I sometimes cut out the srvv compensator and tbl laser/VPG if I'm uber poor or mostly doing longer range areas like woods. People rarely take the srvv and buttpad, and if you put the laser on the charging handle side of the ak, people typically don't take it either. It's pretty decent at 61 erg, 81 vert recoil and 211 horizontal. Another trick if you're poor is just use the romanian dong (CAF WASR10) handguard instead of the b-10, then you get a built in foregrip lol and almost comparable recoil.

  5. I don’t think enough people tell you this but thank you.
Not just for running one of the only EFT economy channel and always talking about useful information, but for your military service as well.
    Mad respect.

  6. AK is always so fun to go but honestly wish BP was a little better because it fires so slow to be able to compete with an HK which you can build for the same amount of cash. I still love runnning them though but it for sure is at a disadvantage fire rate wise which sucks

  7. The 5.56 ones are pretty good because you can uses the AR15 suppressors on them to them lower recoil than the other AKs. The RPK-16 and 103 are the only other AKs worth using after level 30

  8. Nice vid! Though as for myself I prefer Ak-104. For about 120-130k you can have a very nice compact punching Ak, supressed with 84 recoil and ~68 ergonomics. A total monster, as 84 recoil is pretty nice with that 600 rpm

  9. You can put the same muzzle brake RRD-4C but for AK-74 via adapter. That Ak-74 muzzle brake has -15% instead of -16% recoil but you can buy it from Mechanic LL3 for 5k.

  10. At higher levels, I don't know why you would go with the AK over the MCX ever. The ammo is basically the same thing but the recoil is lower and the rate of fire is higher.

  11. @airwingmarine if you are looking for a fun budget AK to try and run put together a AK-74 I call the Plumerang. start with a plum stock and recoil pad, the plum zukov hand guard, black saw grip, the black CQC muzzle device, then throw a 60 rounder in it and plum mags in your rig, and a akmp on the rear iron sight. You will always get it back untouched in insurance and it is fun and different to run as the zukov with no grip gives you a different forward hand placement, the upgraded irons are nice for in the darker buildings, and the CQC doesn't flash your sight line while full autoing like the meta muzzle device does. I run this to level my AK skills cause it is a boomerang gun, and with SP ammo you get a 15% reduction in recoil which is great for mag dumping people to get as many hits as possible and leveling up assault rifle and AK skills. Also the SP ammo has a very high light and heavy bleed chance so the other guy tends to panic and scavs who hide tend to bleed out on their own if you don't chase them.
