finally a hu tao artifact video.
Trying the 4 pc hydro with melt vape team hopefully I can get her c1 so she can have zero stamina charged attacks that deal ridiculous damage with either the vape from xingqu or the melt from Chongyun, and xiangling for the pyro res + battery

Very informative vid. However, It'll be challenging to use bolide specially HuTao's skills scaled off of her HP. A passive needs to get her HP 50% or below which provides 33% pyro as well as Homa's. With a shield she won't be taking much damage. Not to mention that a shield needs to be active for her to increase her dmg. Too situational I would say.
When she uses her E ability she gains extra atk, it's not a bonus (if the leaks are correct). So I think the Gladiator set will be more useful then you give it credit for. It's not going to be the best set, but it should still be pretty decent.
Lavawalker 100% is the better build
Hu tao is much like keqing where her elemental skill gives her an effective damage window
For Keqing its 5 seconds. every 7.5 seconds, so 5 seconds of just raw damage, then when its up, you swap your characters, set up your reactions for the next burst window. So combos such as archiac petra can be done in the 2.5 seconds, and then you rinse and repeat! Her burst extends the combo
Hu tao is going to be the same thing, Her E infuses her weapon, you load as much damage as you can fit, hopefully fit your burst inside while E mega buffs your atk ratios, and then once that 9 second window is up, you swap your characters, and you have 7 seconds to set up for the next big burst!
You cannot stack Crimson on Hu tao because her elemental skill is 16 second cooldown.
Swapping her out is not going to be ideal while her E is up, and her blood blossom requires charged attack, so if you try and to melt/vapo combo, the first hit off infuse with her E will be a normal 1-hit. Which is probably the weakest hit she does, so that just sounds like some wet noodle tactics
Lavawalker is optimal for this playstyle, because you get 35% damage at all times and all sources of damage you do will be pyro, yes the condition for pyro is a good point, however, everything you do in hu tao's strongest state is going to be pyro, so unless you're willing to waste time during her most powerful state, just to put cryo on an enemy, you're going to have a hard time explaining why you think 15% melt/vapo damage is better than using up your E to the maximum. You have no burst damage, everything she does is sustained, fast and comes in many ways. The blood blossoms from your chaged attack, (kinda like how keqing does lots of charged too) to set up pyro dots, and you overwhelm your enemy with a constant web of attacks.
Doing reactions on Hutao will be silly because you dont have any single strike big damage numbers! Like diluc, or Tartaglia, so setting up melt/vaporize combos will not be ideal. Yes high yield reactions from vaporize and melt are insanely good, but thats because they're backed up by insanely high burst dmg attacks. Keqing and Hu Tao dont have these, so try another approach!
It's already proven that Thundersoother gains approx 15% damage over Thunder Fury + Glads on Keqing. Nothing beats ThunderSoother… I'm willing to bet Hu Tao will be the same.

You underestimate the power of lavawalker. She wants to be on the field while her E is active swapping other characters while it's active imo is not good option so elemental reaction is not her playstyle. Crimson is not fit to her playstyle, lavawalker is way more better since you can easily apply pyro to the enemy.
F2P here need to save me primo's. Already have fire chars she better be broken then maybe. We shall see!
Lol lavawalker is the BIS, you read the 4 set wrong. It's said affected by pyro, her E (with blood blossom effect) will continuously affect enemies with pyro so that's 35% extra damage.
You don't need to vaporize or melt or any elemental reaction to activate the effect of 4 set, just use a pyro attack and the damage will automatically increased by 35%. Also, Lavawalker is the BIS for Klee besides wanderer
With my 2 geo 2 pyro team with albedo, noelle (c6) xiangling (c6) and hu tao the lavalwalker is BIS.
also i have it in my xiangling and i have 70% crit rate and 200% crit damage, i'm not changing that any time soon.

2 crimson 2 nobles for me. Most people only do left clicking without quickswapping. Hutao is designed to be a quickswap burst dps due to her A4 and high damage when using elemental skill. Ulti may heal her but you are not supposed to use her 100% on field. You should use E and couple of charged attack and Ult. Rotating between characters mean that you are gaining more energy. Thats only my opinion. This is a 4 man team. Early game people play with 1 carry but late game people play with 3 carry – OkCode

Once dendro gets released, burning with lava walker hu tao will be more viable. I appreciate the thoughts, but not going for a melt or vape comp doesn’t mean that you’re playing the game “wrong” man. May not be the most efficient, but wrong? I think not.
