Beta Branch v1.5.7 (KHUZAIT NERF) Notes for Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord

Bannerlord v1.5.7 Beta Branch has just dropped and it has a pretty big Khuzait Nerf built into it without being relegated to just simply making their troops bad. BUT! There is also Engineering perks, Child education, and a huge campaign map optimization that helps a ton. These beta patch notes has got a lot of Kingdom & Diplomacy reworks as well.

  1. This game is awful so far. Yeah its broken, one step forward, two steps back with every update/hotfix, but beneath that, its just lifeless. I get multiplayer being fun for people, and im sure mods will alter it as with warband, but it just feels sterile. Maybe its just me.

  2. Thank the lords!! The Khuzait were always terrifying to fight with their cav. and cav archer majority armies.

In regards to Voice Lines, I had Istiana actually read out about a third of her dialogue. Was cool.

I am sorry sir, I can't see how I am ever going to go bankrupt when I can sell javelins that cost me near nothing, for over 100k
And its not like it breaks the game either, because when you establish your own kingdom and try to convince lords to join you, they will ask for ridiculously high amounts of gold, hundreds of thousands if not millions (unless their kingdom is completely destroyed, which is usually not the case when you are just starting off with building your kingdom) and that would be impossible to get with useless workshops that make a few dozens of gold each and cant even cover your troops' salaries… other than trading which is grindy as hell, there is no other real option to play the game other than abusing smithing, at least not until they fix the problems I have mentioned.

  4. The mongols were reputed to be able to hit targets reliably at 400 yards or more, yet the horse archers in the game now can't hit the broad side of a barn at 30. Nerf pvp if you must to reduce the whining, but let campaign players keep some degree of historical parallel in the game.

  5. Just trying to think off the top of my brain cell are there any units available that use spear an shield combo? At the same time I mean… Genuine question as I'm in bed so was hoping to know by morning 🥺💚 lol thanks y'all

  6. I wish Taleworlds would hire you to do their videos…..something about your voice makes me want to listen….tried listening to other nameless guys and it's just not the same. I'd rather wait for your vids.

  7. Thanks for the review ! Yep the campaign map and most generally the game is smoother ! HOWEVER, I have a breaking game bug where lot of my soldier (80%) are now childs and are not killable, witch is very ennoying when ennemy troops have that bug too. Battle are unplayable

EDIT : By verifying the steam files, it's worked fine then

  8. Sure hope they add a Mercenary base option for those who don't want to go the Kingdom route. Because as it is, mercenary play allows for much more combat play and fewer risks than being a vassal or King. Sick and tired of being campaigning in in some faraway land just to get constant notifications of small warbands constantly assaulting my villages(that I can't build defenses for). By the time I get back to do anything, my villages are in ruins and my towns/castles are starving.

Would like it to be like a fortified camp or village you can claim in each culture's territory with earthworks and palisade, few townhouses and troop quarters, maybe have a couple of vendors. Would be great. Add in the ability to customize/upgrade your buildings, architectural style, defenses, etc would be swell! Inter-mercenary band rivalries, bandit attacks, etc. Plenty of things to do with it.

  9. I think when they say "conversations are supported" they mean that these dialog lines can be voiced over, but i dont think they implemented yet. I think modders should now be able to vocalize their mods

  10. In my humble opinion I think mounted units should take up 2-3 troop slots. Most of my gripe with the game stem from being out numbered by the mounted archers.

Not saying to nerf them into oblivion but Calv is strong and Calv Archers just destroys everything.

  11. I was a little unclear on the Child Education update. Do these apply retroactively to your children who have passed the requisite ages in the playthrough, or will I essentially have to restart the playthrough to get the full effect of these changes?

  12. Am I just playing the Khuzaits wrong or something? I have a hard time taking castles and such because of my shit infrantry so I have to rely on other faction's infantry, so why did the Khuzaits need a nerf?

  13. I can't believe this game still isn't done. I've been playing Perisno again, and its still a more polished, and in depth, Mount and Blade experience.

  14. One thing that annoys me is that if you get 50 kills or kill, for the purpose of exp or renown it means nothing. In warband kills got u exp, but i get it they changed the system. Either make them contribute to the overall exp as warband, but in smaller quantaty, or make each kill give you a bit of renown and/or influence so that when you kill 50 men in a single battle you get some form of reward. As you should. Also killing lords in battle should give you extra influence and renown

  15. Workshop profit fix isn't on the patch notes anymore…

Was gonna try to beta branch so I can pay for my army, cuz 75 gold for 2 workshops isn't cutting it, haha. Oh well, guess it's delayed to 1.5.8 or later uh…
Well unless my workshops just plain suck, ofc. Does it still not matter what and where or do you have to actually check resources, etc, now?

Edit: Correction, the changes are still visible on the old beta notes, but the copied version within the new post doesn't include it, prolly a mistake then.

  16. Khuzaits should be more OP. Historically, the Mongols were the most dominant empire in human history. So, I don't think it is reasonable nerf. Players just need to improve playing the game. Instead of complaining how AI is so super. If you can't beat an AI that is not as smart as a human. Then you should be ashamed.
