I'm sure these are developers who finished their project and are moving on to the next. Who knows, Starfield may be closer than we think.
Seem to me at least in this case the dev is pursuing new opportunity.
IO Interactive is now working on an exclusive for Xbox called Project Dragon. There were also rumors that Microsoft was considering acquiring them in the distant future. In other words, Bethesda people wouldn't be going there if they wanted to be away from Microsoft.
I bet all the greedy devs are leaving because Todd wants them to be "good, hardworking devs" and they're like LOL no walks out
almost 100% sure BCS… i mean BGS Austin… is working on another monetized mobile game… probably tied into Starfield… not "spy team" imho.
I just hope June answers a lot of questions.
Regardless of how the suit looks, modern will make a slooty transparent version within a week of the game's launch 😀

People leave companies all the time, especially in the videogame industry. I think people go crazy because everyone wonders why that particularly dev left, everyone thinks something was wrong with the project or whatever. Usually it means they leave because their contract has ended like you said, and that's it. Others leave because they just want to work at something else in a different company, a lot of devs try to create their own companies after a while working for someone. And yes, of course sometimes devs leave because the company sucked and they were being treated awfully bad and the likes. But I'd say 99.99% of these cases it's contract based and it's hard to leave before finishing what you were contracted to do in the first place, unless we involve legal stuff, lawyers and all that.
I imagine Todd strolling the offices and whipping people, since he's such a big fan of Indiana Jones.
I wouldn't mind Emil Pagliarulo leaving Bethesda though, his piss-poor story writing has become a serious problem.

Some developers are on contract, once their work is done, they move on to the next project.
