Xbox officially owns Bethesda. The deal is finalized. What’s next? Xbox head Phil Spencer hints at exclusivity, but how far is that going to go with properties like Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and beyond? Let’s hash it out.

I think Microsoft's first move will be to remake oblivion and make it an exclusive. That was my first elder scrolls game and by far one of my favorite RPGs of all time. Many people now days dont have access to the game other than PC and remaking it or releasing it again will bring back veterans and a whole new era of fans. It'll be kinda like what Sony did with demon souls remake
I think TES 6 and the new Fallout will be Xbox/PC exclusives I mean sony have some badass exclusives, they'll make it exclusively for PC and Xbox for like a year or 2
Very upsetting to me as I'm a huge sony fan and trophy Hunter. I enjoy Bethesda games and hate to see xbox take them exclusive but that's the name of the game.
I'm just excited to play all Bethesda releases on PC for 10 dollars on release day with game pass
aaaand why do you still support sony exclusives?
Xbox is so bad console i hate it so much i never going to Play on a Xbox again
What do you mean “Xbox series x 2”, clearly the next Xbox is the “X Xbox Series Box XS X”
I hope that the big boys (ES and Fallout) stay multi-plat, as I'd rather delay upgrading to an actual PC rather than gaming laptop since that's where long term enjoyment of those titles comes from. That way I can play them on my PS5 until the modding scene gets interesting.
So instead of making new great games exclusive to their system, they bought out a 3rd party company and added nothing new except made it only playable on their platform.
It wouldn't surprise me at all were new AAA properties (like Starfield) to be exclusive, and existing cross platform ones (like Elder Scrolls and Fallout) to remain so. There a probably a bunch of "lower tier" games, i.e. the ones that wouldn't profitably drive console sales, that will still be cross platform.
He is referring to Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 76 when he says 'Legacy Support'. They've already released on multiple platforms and are live service/MMOs.
Now, more than ever before, is time to invest in PC masterrace. Meanwhile i'm still searching for my PS5.
I just hope that with having even more financial firepower they can afford to hire three voice actors instead of two for TESVI 😉
Yeah they’re exclusives except for service games and Indiana Jones
All the PC players are indeed getting away with murder. I love it! I’d say get a PC instead if an Xbox X/S, but right now isn’t the time.
Let’s be honest Bethesda is no loss to anyone, they have made some awful decisions recently.
I’m ok with elder scrolls being exclusive on Xbox
"LEGACY" Titles, in my mind, means ESO and Fallout 76. I can't see that meaning anything else. To me it's that they will continue to support those games that have a player base with content updates etc.
Everything else going forward will be 100% exclusive to Xbox and PC. Gamepass is the long play here.
as a PlayStation player, I’m punching the air rn

Like you said, PC wins out on this. So glad I built a nice rig before the market went crazy. Not a 30 series but still beastly.
Could really care less about this acquisition, just wanted to hear your opinion
Begun, the console wars has.
