  1. i still think 3 weapon classes is too much, id be down for 2 classes and even an extra ability slot for that class. you would show more identity in the game which is needed, right now it feels like your hording as many different weapons as possible~ "im a Warrior Spellcaster archer man" …eh

  2. idea make the auto attack combat system more complex not as much as dark souls just some auto attack combo animation and increase skill cd's on some of the abilities to create a better balance so that way people who like the dark souls complexity of the auto attacks can at least feel some joy in playing this with the added spells/skills

  3. They either had to go this route for combat or remove all abilities and be a pure light/heavy attack with only a single weapon (no switching) type of game. Least they've picked a route

  4. @Force Gaming If you compare it with Wildstar, which was a lot more promising but died too early, what's your opinion about New world? Is it just a game you will buy it and after two months you will stop playing it? Cause they say spring 2021 will be released but from what I see they aren't ready.

  5. I havent played New World for a while, but it honestly doesnt look appealing to me. The design in the world doesnt have any variety whatsoever and the combat does feel really really boring to me. All in all it's just another MMORPG that isn't offering anything special to look forward too besides that its from amazon …

  6. I would only want to use one weapon i love like a two handed sword so this combat wont work for me hope they dont use this combat system in the Lord of the rigs mmo they are making.

  7. Okay, I think the combat looks better and I like the changes. Tbh, the global cool down was a pain and it made the combat feel way slow without much complexity. I still think a melee lock on would help the combat feel a little more polished so I would like to see that.

    NOW, on to everything else lol. I hope they seriously rework the end game and pve aspects of the game! I honestly think it needs some dungeons, more enemies, and some type of hardcore raid/dungeon/complex world event. I know they had the zones of corruption and what not, but how many of those can you farm before the life is sucked out of you???? I would also like to see them majorly rework the questing system in the game. That I assume might take the most amount of time because the quests in the preview where bad to say the least. I think dungeons might be something they could implement faster because it wouldn't need a whole lot done to the world (because it could all be instances), BUT i am no game developer lol. I liked the crafting system tho lol

  8. This game is so bad. I don't know what amazon was thinking with a lot of their design designs, especially with combat. What a waste…This game can't even compete with games made 15 years go. You can do 1 or 2 skills with 3 diff animations… It's also odd to see all the diff sets of weapons, you literally look like a walking tool shed.

  9. i have seen many cool pictures of weapon having more variable of customization, difrent looks. I hope they are working on armor too, all the light armor looks the same, all medium looks the same… its not fun running around and meeting bunch of people who looks the same as you becouse there is so little customization to armor.

    This game is now just another one of those spam your spells, switch weapon, spam more spells, switch weapons, spam more spells, rince, repeat… most certainly fun for PvE, will be a boring meta spam fest in PvP…

  11. 5 months ago I was not looking forward to this game nearly at all. I didn't think it had much potential, but with all these improvements it has the potential to be a really solid game by spring of 2021

  12. The new combat is a disappointment. Every mmo is centered around either rotating or spamming a shit ton of skills. now that everyone has access to 3 weapon slots fighting will be basically 1. shit all of your skills out of your first weapon in the correct(and maybe block once) 2. switch weapons 3. rinse and repeat. This was the ONE mmo that had combat that was actually DIFFERENT and many if not most of us LOVED that. All there is left is disappointment for many of us.

  13. The combat does look much smoother from the early fall preview. I remember hearing somewhere the shared cool downs was a bug, may have been on a stream so take that with a grain of salt. But the change with each set maintaining their own CD's feels like a much need quality of life update. I look forward to seeing what they do next with this.

  14. I mean honestly.. I think these guys are on to something. Havent played yet as my pc is awaiting new parts but i feel not only this game, but this studio has potential. Im no developer, even though i understand a thing or two on how games are made… looks promising.
    Offtopic-ontopic: do i think we need another AAA studio to make another elder scrolls like game, no not realy. But the game does look awesome, even for someone who has been mainly just watching the gaming industry revolution since the late 90s. will definitely check this one out, as ps5s are nowhere to be found and godfall apparently wasnt all that

  15. Tbh, no modern western mmo can compare to BDO when it comes to character design, environment details and combat. By the look at the preview here I think New World mmo is ok but I don't think it can attract me due to the 3 factors I stated above…

  16. Well i got to say i do not like weapon switching in rpgs really when it affects your skills, it takes away the feeling of specialization. Now using the same weapon and switching like stances thats fine, but i would rather them make the game around you using 1 weapon type specializing with it and mastering it
