spent way too long just to say that you should use better ammo
I feel like at least 1/3 of what your kit is worth should be spent on ammo; armor will only protect you from scavs and new players at this point of the wipe so the best defense is a good offense.
I'd rather go in with a Ulach and spend the 180/200k i saved on ammo

I killed 2 pmcs yesterday on interchange. 1 was lvl 30 something the other one was level 51. Both had good gear but the level 51 had an mdr with one mag m855a1 and 3 mags of m856a1 but had good helmet good armor etc. I killed them with my aku using bt. I use bt when i rock a cheap loadout and its ok. If i had an more expensive loadout i would have used bs.

OMG, this is exactly the same loadout I´m about to rock. The difference is the only thing I actually bought is the face shiled. Everything else was found in containers on my Scav runs.

I disagree with you on one point, minus some exeption you can cheaping out on ammo… i dot 90% of my loadouts with mix of bullets in my mags… for 5,45 i top my mags with 7n39/BS in my mags i put 10/15 or 20/30 (30round/60round mag) of good bullet and i fill it with the entry ammo like BT in this caliber… then i pouch the good ammo BS/7N39 and i even pouch mags i have 60 rounders there are exeption like 7,62BP i just fill my mags with it… but for M4 i top my mags with 885A1/995 then put 856A1 same for M61/62 if i dont manage to kill with the top bullet i just deserve to die… and if i still hit with the top mags the armor should be shred so the low ammo should go through …. it saves me a TONS of monney doing this…
before i went through ur vod i was thinking of the bullets my self cuz many people do this even if they new or not cuz off fear anyways pls tell how to make my game so smooth as well please cuz i am having a hard time with that 🙂
The biggest mistake is playing too slow. Then comes the ammo imo. Ammo doesn't matter when ur dead 🙂

You dont wear that helmet even being over 70mil because the helm is trash
The only thing wrong with this is you say if your risking this much, you should bring better ammo. But I think regardless of the situation ammo should come before even your gear because as long as your ammo is good your chances go up so much more.

Just get a decent rig. sordin(orwhatever u prefer) and green beret(maximum an ssh, thats ricochet chance is ridiculous). Aaaand you are good to go. If u have a bit of a gamesense, u will die later than THAT dude in the team wearing gear above 1 mil…(Not to mention his gun)
I basically don't even buy kits anymore. I use kits I get off of raiders on Reserve. Then go buy the best, or second best ammo.
Including insurance I keep my kit under 100k

Great knowledge drop fam. As a quick add on if I may; An easy rule of thumb when you're new to Tarkov and trying to figure out Ammo once you reach level 10: Do a Linked Search on the magazine for the gun you want to use. On the left hand side, click the drop down for ammo. Now once you begin clicking through the rounds, you'll notice some ammo that is generally around 1000 roubles or more a round. This is typically one of if not the best ammos for the gun you are looking it. The hierarchy of ammo tends to flow downward in price from Best (most expensive) to Worst (least expensive).

Tarkov is my first PC game. I love how challenging it is solo. It is less so that I listened to more knowledgeable people about ammo. Ratting with Pistols using top tier ammo is my fav kit but certainly not the most effective cough vector is king cough

I always knew ammo>everything but damm when i saw igolnik after killing killa that i realised how insane the difference is i saw a dude in the distance and was certain he had an altyn one shot to the head and he dropped and i was in shock so i shot at least 5 more at him to be sure, guns are only as good as the ammo that fits in them
AND going prone thinking no one will see you traps you to slow movements

That's not the biggest mistake newbies make. The biggest one is using 5.45 AKs and keeping 250k worth of ammo in your rig when virtually every weapon platform in the game is utterly superior.
Good ammo will save your life, never cheap out on ammo

Worth mentioning that a lot of times the best thing to loot is enemy and dead teammate's mags sometimes.
I'm that guy all the time, but in my defense iv never bought a kit. Work down my stash and go scav pmcs at dorms with 5 min on the clock a couple times and good for a few days lol
