That’s a fair point Bill. But throw in twitch and entertainment and now you’re being hypocritical. Pretty interesting take from the boomer.

American humour is trash anyway, watching every joke or sketch in this clip was torture tbh. Like the old man bday card, nothing funny or clever about it, XQC screaching like a goblin is somehow funnier. If you're gonna trash something as a comedian be funny & witty about it at least, that's the point, not just insults and "look mum I can swear" – watching someone completely unfunny is a f'ing waste of my time too 🙂

To me watching him and his show or whatever this is was a waste of time. Guess everyone has their preferences.
i think his speaking cadence is because he keeps pausing for laughs or applause. not a surprising take from the dude kinda. this monologue style political comedy shit has the same routine of mixing opinion/politics with some really quick and lazy jokes. most of the time there is a team of writers trying min/max the most hot button issues with jokes as punctuation. i think bill might do more of his own stuff compared to other shows. but yeah anything could be a "waste of time". the topic of ageism mixed in with some really random elbows on young people's views and opinions is gonna cause some friction, and so twitch is the butt of a joke, and proof that young ppl are good at wasting time and stupid. however i think it's a very human thing to "waste time" and you can get old pretty quickly doing so. maybe we just pick the best person for the job rather than root for our team and fuck the other guys. this also does not at all go into maybe why younger people want to steer away from getting old white people in power for years at a time.

Watching video games is analagous to watching Sports if you want an apples to apples comparison, or if you want a slightly more salacious comparison… Watching video games is no more a waste of time than literally watching people talk… Which is precisely what people do when they sit and watch a talk show like Bill Maher's, they are sitting there, literally watching someone talk.
