Oh this is great, I loved your correlation of the series of unfortunate events and sims.
I’m going go with the Pendragon series and Kingdom Hearts, because both are about an outsider going to different worlds and defeating their baddie, with an overarching big bad that ties everything together.
This was so much fun!
I don't game much anymore, mainly I play Final Fantasy when I get a chance, but I used to LOVE WoW!
