I don't know why people find it so strange that a friend called a welfare check so soon. A few months ago, I came upon a medical problem that required strong medications that knocked me on my ass. Long story short..I didn't show up to a scheduled shift and there were police knocking on my door within the hour. People care about peoole..maybe not the jokers in this circus but those who have close relationships KNOW when something is wrong. Thank God for my loved ones and friends. Thank God for NA.
