In the last couple of days, BSG has teased a lot of new stuff. New guns, new attachments, and new events, including that of Twitch Rivals on May 18th for the USA and a potentially new customization improvement in the form of pre-built assemblies for the presets build section of the game.
Unfortunately this also meets with a little bit of scrutiny, as the SEA will not be able to participate in Rivals at all.
Also, Pestily raised over $100k for charity yesterday for Starlight Star, with Dr. Lupo coming in as the high donator at $7,500 to put the charity push over the top.

It would be cool if BSG added a build randnomizer for pre-sets
Imagine you open pre-sets, open a (let's say) AKM, so now you see a stock wooden AKM and somewhere would be a button "Build me something", when pressed a game would make you a random weapon build with random attachments you could buy and assemble. Would be great for challenges, etc.
That customization "change" is already in the game. He just had some uppers put together in his stash (I checked it to be sure)

I think they were modding the gun in the Modding screen rather than the Preset screen. I think the weapon components were already equipped with the attachments in the inventory.

That modding part it can be done already dude, if you have a complete upper receiver and u mod it into the gun, the attatchments go with it (i think)

It's a prebuilt upper. Looks friggen awesome! I hope it works like in real life, you can have multiple uppers for one lower and swap them out depending on what you are doing.

With the weapon modding screen, you can install whole assemblies provided they are already present in your inventory. I can, for instance, have an m4 upper receiver with all the bells and whistles in my inventory and install it through the weapon modding screen onto an m4 lower. This has been in the game as long as I have been playing.
The weapon modding screen is distinct from the weapon preset screen, where you can't do full sub-assemblies (yet). The footage shown is of the weapon modding screen.

Hey, Onepeg, that AR handguard was shown extensively on the Streets of Tarkov teaser… I knew I had never seen that SoT handguard before…

There is no performance boost with using of the photoscanned models. In fact, the resulted model has thousands of polygons pretty much a couple of triangles for each 1-2 sq cm (it depends on quality settings). These models are good only as a high-poly versions with good surface detalization and usually it bakes down onto retopologized low-poly models as textures so then the last ones looks similar to that high-poly. So the whole performance level depends on how good the devs gonna simplify that photoscanned mesh (which is raw actually, not the production model) and how big resolution the new one textures gonna have. The only advantage for us – better graphics quality. For the BSG in case of a complex objects – a bit simplified development (not for the trees, the Speed Tree works faster and easier than photogrammetry)
p.s. That weird quadric suppressor is actually the suppressor for the AK platform by russian manufacturer
The customization you included in the end is a real thing. He clicked "modding" instead of "edit preset" thus having multiple upper recievers already kitted out in his stash. This feature is already in the game, but I wouldnt mind seeing something similar in the edit preset category either.

The weapon modding is already there. Not in Presets but if you do "Modding" on a gun and swap out a part and the part in your stash has others attached to it then they will come together. For example, if you have a KAC QD compensator in the stash with a Suppressor already on it, then attaching that KAC QD compensator to your AR will attach both it and the suppressor immediately.

You always can put those presets of barrel and gas blocks, you just have to put all the parts together and then use modding on the disassembled gun

One massive quality of life change I’ve been dying for is the ability to save specific crafts as favorites so they appear up top in the hideout crafts. So I can stop having to hunt for certain crafts all the damn time

you can already do the "customization" thing when you mod a weapon, just have a mod attached to other mods when you put it on the weapon?
Hey Onepeg, I'm pretty sure this customization "leak" is already in the game. You can see he is modding the weapon via the weapon modding screen and not the preset screen. If you already have things on your upper receiver like a barrel with a handguard on top of it and a muzzle device and you put it on your weapon via the weapon modding screen, everything that was on that receiver will also be put in place for you. Meaning that the person modding in this video already had a bunch of upper receivers with things attached to them laying in his stash and modded the weapon like this for the sake of convenience.

I'm pretty sure you can attach a barrel and stuff on upper reciever separated from lower reciever and attach those together afterwards.
About the "preset" for mk47, it's not. it's just an already moded upper receiver, like you can do with an M4 (mod you weapon then detach upper)
