I hate that I miss out on the lives! Maybe I'll get to catch another one someday. For the tavern, you could put shelves up and in addition to tankards you can put mead bases/potions on the item holders. Most of the food can be placed on them too if you wanted to put some stew dishes or sausage plates on the tables! It'd give it that extra cozy touch.
