  1. 8:58 tip with star names that start with "Al-": those are most likely Arabic names. Medieval Arabic astronomers named a lot of stars, and those names came to Europe and the rest of the western world in a very interesting way that goes beyond the context of this game.
    Anyway.
The prefix Al- is a the definite article and has the same function as the word "the" in English.
You can read a star name Alwazn as "Al-wazn", which means "the weight".
No, I don't speak Arabic, I looked it up. Alwazn or Wezen is the official name of Delta Canis Majoris, a yellow-white F-type supergiant some 1600 lightyears from Earth.

  2. As I found with orbital collectors you need a ring around the gas giant as they are slow to collect. I'm slowly building them as haven't automated them and they're not cheap to make but once you get a substantial ring going they are super useful

  3. You don't need to power up Interstellar Logistics stations if you only intend to pick up resources from them. You only need power if you plan to put logistic vessels in them. This is incredibly useful when setting up remote resources from other star systems. You only need to power your miners, smelters, and assemblers.

  4. It depends what type of dyson shphere you use if you use an inclosed dyson shpere then there would be no sun light but it is diffrent with a dyson swarm and then use a dyson sheet/shield because a dyson sheet will be clear the sun light will be able to get thro

  5. Wouldn't it save on a lot of resources and stored things up dramatically if Z1 removed all of the nodes in between the actual vertexes of the triangles of the shell? I think he general has around 2 extra nodes in the equator per triangle, and I believe removing them with allow all of the ships in them to go create the vertexes needed 15° out.

  6. The Structure Points and Cell Points in the Dyson Shell plan are most likely an addressing system by which you can locate specific cell panels on the Sphere. It is difficult to confirm by just looking at the videos, but that's my conclusion.

  7. I haven't seen a gas giant with a high deuterium rate lol… you should just use the hydrogen in a particle collider and make it that way… multiple orbital collectors should be able to keep up with the loss no problem.
