First time I have heard the term "armchair dev" but holy shit I feel like it sums up a LOT of the modern gaming community and is something that annoys me a lot. I'm studying game design and want to go into the field when I finish and while I know FAR from everything I do know that making games is SO MUCH more difficult than the majority of the gaming public understands. There has obviously been some miss management on the game as it has been in development for a long time but that doesn't mean the game will be bad, It will just take longer to get good and with 343's recent streak of great things (MCC PC may have been a mess but I think that was just caused by their release plan, if they waited until the entire collection was in the state it is now before releasing it would have been received much better) I have trust in the company to be able to release something good.

Yes, halo has a lot of eyes looking at it this time around, but that's all because the reveal trailers from previous years i think, i guess there's a lot more people than we realise that see the classic artstyle as being "halo". But all this attention is neither good or bad, the deciding factor is if the game actually turns out to be good or not. If halo dissapoints, they'll all just move on.
Honestly Halo has been dead to me since 4 launched. I have never been so disappointed with a game in my life. Plus with all the mishaps and just general stupidity 343 has shown us these last 10 years I have pretty much no hope Infinite will be anything like what Halo is supposed to be.

master chief is on the box for the Xbox and in advertisements because it was supposed to be released with the new Xbox, it's really frustrating knowing that Infinite was supposed to be out in the wild right now yet 343 are still not telling us anything, 343's self destructive radio silence isn't doing anything to reassure gamers, and it makes you wonder how much of a shit show it is behind the scenes.
The hype will never die, but I really wish they could just get it right and release it not gonna lie this would’ve been great to play during the pandemic 🙃
