  1. I can't believe people don't understand why they'd do this 😭. She was one of Dons mascot characters who so happened to get popular on Newgrounds. Her image is tied to him, so she had to go because he decided to be a disgusting loser. I'm sure the team will find someone better anyways.

  2. Not to be that one guy or anything, but the creator confirmed that Cassette girl is NOT based on Lex. This would make the "Separate the art from the artist." argument possible. This was stated on the CG creator's apology tweet. A quote from the tweet: "Regarding Cassette Girl and the accusation that I had based her off Lex, those are not true. I had based Cassette Girl on a SoundCloud I was listening to back in 2017 before Lex and I started seriously dating. The character is in no way related to Lex."

  3. Man, fuck Don for his stupid perversions. He forced himself on his sick girlfriend who asked for him to be gentle and then didn't even apologize correctly (saying he was sorry "she feels she was wronged"). And now everything he was in is now deleted and ruined because of it. I miss Rubberross' Pen Island video he did with Vinny.

  4. In all honesty, it was only a matter of time before this was officially announced. No one in their right mind would include such a character in their work, and it’s sad that even the devs of the base game have to deal with this sort of drama…

  5. Expected. Glad they removed Cassette Girl after all even though it was very easy to predict this happening. I know there are people who keep saying how Don said that Cassette Girl isn’t based on the victim which COULD be true but come on this still doesn’t change the fact that he sexually harassed Lex. Plus considering how Cassette Girl will likely always be heavily tied to Don when bringing up the character. It’s near impossible to separate art from artist in this case and I would just recommend letting the character go especially how it may bring discomfort towards others and especially Lex. Look, I know that some of you love this character but let’s consider what’s good for others and just let the character leave for good. It’ll just keep bringing back painful memories. Let’s focus on the victim and all we can to support them! Stay strong everyone, especially you Lex. I hope this helps for some to maybe finally let go if they haven’t before. Wishing you all the best of luck and to your future endeavors.
