This is crazy news and I think it may end up hurting their company even more once the full data is leaked but lets talk about that.

CD Projekt says itโ€™s been hacked by attackers whoโ€™ve been able to access its internal network, encrypt some devices, and collect โ€œcertain dataโ€ from the Polish video game company. The Cyberpunk 2077 developer says it will not give in to the demands or negotiate with the attacker, and does not believe any personal data of players or service users has been compromised.

In a tweet disclosing the hack, the company shared the ransom note left by the hackers, who claim to have accessed the source code for Cyberpunk 2077, Witcher 3, Gwent, and an โ€œunreleased version of Witcher 3.โ€ The hackers are threatening to release the source code alongside internal legal, HR, and financial documents โ€œif we will not come to an agreement.โ€ In this video DreamcastGuy looks at the statements and talks about the depth of this leak.

  1. I just wanted to know do you care about your appearance when you make your video because you don't never shave or shape up your mustache or your facial hair it looks nasty I know I don't watch your videos to for your facial hair but it's just annoying seeing it while I'm looking at your video and I was wondering if you care enough to try to fix fix it

  2. I don't care what you think or don't think about CDPR in terms of Cyberpunk or the controversary surrounding the awful release or anything like that. CDPR DO NOT deserve any of this that's happening right now. You can be mad at upper management and the suits for what's happened with Cyberpunk and not listening to the dev team when they said that the game wasn't ready, but the WHOLE company, dev team included do not deserve to be taken down for this.

  3. All I can say is that I'm not happy nor sad about this.
If this really is the consequence of releasing CP2077 half baked then CDPR's executives can now reap what they sowed.

  4. Wow, like stirring stirring up drama "omg guys, this is going to lead to something much bigger – end of the world stuff"

My favorite part is when you make the "discovery" that the letter is damage control when its whole point is damage control, like NSS.

I think you need to wake up more before making a video.

  5. I bet Microsoft will buy CDPR soon or it will be simply destroyed. "Do as we told or else…" Corporations rules and lots of people are happy about that, good luck with that attitude in year or two all your games would be only in clouds and packed full with micro transactions.

  6. Man you are just stupid. ๐Ÿ˜€ It's obvious that the company has many deals with other companies, licences for software, other companies data and so on. This is what the 3rd paragraph is about. So looking there like there's more to it is just stupid. This was written by people who probably don't have an idea what really hapend and they just wrote whatever they come up with. Secondly, it is naive to think that the attack happend not because of money. It was of course aimed on CD Projekt to get as much money as possible, especially considering companies current PR situation.

  7. I can understand being upset at CDPR, and wanting the company to be punished, but the Devs that work for them having their private information dumped online is a whole different thing. I'm hearing they are dealing with CC, and loans being taken out in their name now, and many other issues.

  8. You're 100% wrong. Stolen code doesn't mean it's automatically not proprietary if someone uses stolen code to make their own game. If you use CDPR's code and build on it and make a game and try to profit from it, CDPR can go after you legally and will win. So you can't do anything with stolen code, at least not try and create a game and then sell it for profit.

  9. Bad story I'm in hope that every employee can withstand this situation and the company is strong enough not to pay those "hackers" any money. CDPR is the best game developer outside of the western brain wash political game designer out there. CDPR 4ever.
