CD Projekt Red made quite a bit of money from Cyberpunk 2077, and it’s all based on a lie! They knowingly lied to PlayStation and Xbox users, and made a lot of money based on those lies.

  1. "Bu bu but the fans rushed them" please for the love of God, they set the release date and they actively advertised it for the consoles while hiding the console gameplay footage. There is no defense for this.

  2. Welp, no reason to cry and shout about it. They should take responsibility and fix their game. Oh btw, if you watched Internet Historian's video on No Man's Sky, he mentions one part where the team could have apologised for the release, but that would have been met with criticism. Well, you have a fine example right here. So CDPR should shut up and work on it, pronto.

  3. I'll be honest, if we come back to this game in 6 months after they have time to patch a lot of the major issues this game will likely be amazing.

    Its not sustained by a live action service like Anthem and from those who could make it through on PC and next gen have a lot of praise for it. The game obviously wasnt meant for PS4 and XBox 1and was likely pushed into releasing it for them by the investors.

    If they take the time to patch the game breaking bugs I think they can retain their good will so long as their next major title isn't like this. Let's give the dev's a little benefit of the doubt and a few months try to rectify their mistakes. If they don't then they deserve their judgement.

  4. I don't know if I would say they are just as bad as EA, Activision, or Bethesda, honestly. They constantly lied to their fanbases with each game in some form or another, constantly abused their trust, and manipulated them into pre-ordering, again and again on faulty promises and often VERY misleading "gameplay" trailers, each year. CDPR defiantly made some mistakes, and they should be rightfully called out on them. Still, I don't think I'd go as far as to place them in a line-up with companies like EA, who gladly destroy fan-favorite companies the second they stop turning out a profit (usually because of their own greed), and Activision, who… well, is Activision.

    Should they get off the hook, though? No, they willingly chose to hide the base PS4/Xbox performance from marketing and advertisement for a straightforward reason. And because of that, people will be wary of their next endeavor in the future, regardless of whether it's a sequel to CP2077 or the Witcher. However, I doubt that this alone will cause them much heartache in future sales, mostly because they still made an excellent game underneath the technical problems. It's a far more completed and fulfilling RPG than what a certain number of other Western RPG developers make… as much as that pains me to say ;_;

  5. Ah yes, all these great gaming studio developer do fall someday. Those studios is the same who make the Great "The Witcher 3" . And now look at it, never guessed that they'll do make such a disappointment like Naughty Dog… How pitiful…

  6. Why did you hype this at all? Why do you all keep doing the same dumb shit? Why not just play a game when it comes out? Or listen to reviews afterwards? You deserved this. If you want a polished game, don't blindly trust developers and order it when it's ready.

  7. I always blame the higher ups for fuck ups like this. I’m not gonna pretend that I know how game companies work but when the apology letter states that they would have the patch in February fix the game, then I can tell that’s when they really wanted to release the game. However if that were to happen they the company would of lost a shit ton of pre-orders and holiday purchases so the higher ups pushed it out buggy as hell. I feel sorry for those worked hard on make the game and really wanted it to be great and I will give them credit for not just giving up and say “to bad it’s out now” and are actively trying to fix the problem despite the hate they are getting. It shouldn’t happen in the first place but when cooperate wants their money they will get it. So have I given up CD Red, no I wouldn’t put them on the same league as EA and Ubisoft who push out crap games and claim it to be perfect when it’s just rehash of previous work.

    Also for what’s it’s worth, for a company who has only really work on a 3rd person fantasy sword fighting game for majority of their years, they did a decent job on first person sci-fi shooter, even with all the bugs and glitches

  8. I haven't preordered in 2 years, I just don't anymore.
    Plus I have a pile of old games to play anyway so this can wait. Started playing X-men origins Wolverine on ps3, one of those rare cases where game tie in is better than the movie xDD

    Pretty sweet game to boot, you guys have fun screaming about Cyberpunk and latest consoles, I'll stay here and play retro~
