The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride packed with bugs, deceit, and upset customers. Earlier yesterday CD Projekt Red issued an apology and is offering help with refunds.

PC, Series X, and PS5 owners of Cyberpunk have all reported a number of bugs and performance issues but despite those issues and all the troubles with the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game – Cyberpunk 2077 has sold millions of copies and is breaking records for singleplayer game views on Twitch.

It’s safe to say people are fairly upset even if there is a good game under all the issues. To complicate things, CD Projekt Red knowingly shipped versions of Cyberpunk 2077 that were below an average bar of quality.

Everything leading up to this point certainly makes CD Projekt Red’s apology and gesture towards refunds ring a little bit hollow – but what do you think? Let us know in the comments below, on today’s edition of Inside Gaming Daily!

  1. Perhaps CDPR is not big enough or experienced enough to release such a massive and complex game in the time they did, they could have focused on either gen consoles or pc first and they definitely could have handled their PR etc. better.

Bethesda bugs (even after years of updates and fixes): "They make the game better, 9/10".
Any other developer bugs on release: "Literally worthless game, 1/10".

  2. CD Projekt Red should just release the game on PC and then delay the console launch. PC players get the same exact treatment so console players have no room to complain. It's about time we got a video game that pushed the limits of gaming, last one was Crysis.

  3. Lol man people are way too nitpicky nowadays. Frankly I cant remember a single game that's come out in years, and hasn't exploded online with complaints on release.

I'm playing Cyberpunk on my Ps4…. from when PS4 originally released lmao, so if you guys are having issues? ..Take care of your system? Mines 7 years old lmao.

I've ran into few bugs, most of which were just game crashes on day 1, and very minor clipping issues. So really nothing to bitch about. All things considered, I've had more fun playing Cyberpunk with its few issues, than any game I've played in years.

Expecting a game to have no issues on release? Name one. Anyway ima keep living in 2077, 2020 sucks 🤣

  4. Nobody gives a shit… Just look at Hello Games and No Mans Sky… that game was dogshit on all systems it was released on. But, lo and behold, gamers have forgiven them because after several years it’s finally at a point where it matches the devs promises. At least this game runs on everything besides last gen and I’m assuming that they’ll follow through on their promises and the game will be a bit more polished early next year (which is when I’ll finally pick it up for PC)

  5. That’s clearly not Elon Musk lol. The thought of a billionaire still playing on a PS4 is hilarious to me. He’s prolly already got a PS6, while the rest of us have to wait until 2027 lol.

  6. honestly you haven't experienced the real cyberpunk experience if you don't do the Power Move on a bike. You guys know what I'm talking about. theres no other way to assert dominance in Night City but that power move on a bike

  7. Anyone who gets a refund should be banned from ever owning the game thereafter. But for those that buy it and stick with it incentives should be offered at a later time through in-game bonuses and such. Problem solved.

  8. I think what developers need to do is make the game where it runs and everything to where they just need to polish it up announce the game at that point so from the point of announcing it to releasing all they have to do is fix minor bugs and graphical issues and they will be more prepared. Cause it seems like all devs are doing now a days is delaying games and if they don’t delay “cough cough call of duty” then the games come out running and looking like shit “cough cough call of duty”

  9. They felt pressured to put it out. People were sending them death threats over delays. Clearly they needed more time. I’m playing it on series X luckily and it plays fine. With a few updates and a bit more time the game will be incredible. Witcher 3 is still one of the best games I’ve ever played. I still have faith in CDPR

  10. I have so many PS4 games to get through in the next coming months. Plenty of time for Cyberpunk to fix bugs and Ps5 to become available for me to actually pick up. But we better not be here a year from now.
