Pinobee: Wings of Adventure was released in 2001, developed by Artoon (Blinx for Xbox, Yoshi’s Island DS) and published by Hudson Soft.
I didn’t know this until today, but Pinobee was designed by Naoto Ohshima, who designed Sonic the Hedgehog and Dr. Eggman so pretty big shoes to fill.
Maybe there’s something I’m missing in this quick Let’s Try, but this is about as generic as a platformer could be, and even the design of Pinobee is nothing special. A Japanese-only sequel was released, so I guess it did well enough over there.
You can buy this game real cheap, so if you’re looking for a very turn-off-your-brain platformer, this could be it! Thanks for watching.
