  1. People need to remember he cant actually say what we all want him to because he will 100% get sued even more. If he admitted console was not finished, he'd be done for.

  2. I mean the video has corpo speak already in the title. Obviously it wasn't going to be in-depth and detailed community manager response, which Cohh seemed to want. This was PR messaging, not community messaging.

  3. Everything else aside, what it boils down to is they made witcher 3. That game was amazing from almost every angle. What that proves, they can do it, and they can be better. They chose not to. They built a lot of trust, but they cashed it all in on a bad bet and now they are going to have to work to earn it back. I don't hate the company, and would not put them kn par with EA, Bethesda, or more acti-blizzard, who have been doing this same shit for years. This was one major screw up, which can easily lead down that path, and their next steps will be very telling.

  4. Good balanced analysis. It's not a bad game, but right now is still as you say, a diamond in the rough. We'll see if CDPR is willing to put forth the time and effort to make it so. I hope so.

  5. The issue is: No matter what you say people will get mad. What you do matters a lot more than what you say

So just get back to work. EARN people's trust back by your actions and updates. If the game is fixed, people will remember Cyberpunk's launch state for sure but they will remember a lot more the finished product.

I'd love to say they won't trust CD Projekt Red again on Day 1 but… People still pre-order EA and Bathesda games so what do i know?

  6. I think they could add a mod store with patches & add -ons that people could help make the game better. Faster too. And the company could "sponsor"/pay for the best &/or necessary upgrades & patches? (Community helping to fix the game). I personally wanted to see more NPCs with way more cyber body parts & more hologram people around & drones & full robots ect in the enviroment…

  7. I feel like the missing features were too ambitious and at this point they're more worried about making the game run, and the next gen upgrades. Maybe later they'll add these missing systems but I have doubts.

  8. I would love to know how many people don't usually buy "new games", because if this is a large portion of the gamer base, it makes sense to really commit to fixing it to grab more sales. (I fall in the category of waiting for a sale usually because I know a lot of updates have hit by then)

  9. They first lied to us showing features in videos that aren't in the game and now they cry asking sorry ?
He said that they tested the game on old console and was fine ? who the heck is testing games at CDPR ? Mickey Mouse on crack ?

No sorry I wont give you my money until you add in the game what you promised and make a REAL open world, not something full of walking dead npcs.

  10. The only thing smell is the greed that took over the quality. It's not a bad game at it's core… but they delivered lies to hyp it up, they forbid early footage so the sales expectations stay high… now that they got the money they gonna patch it but most of the loyal gamers won't be able to play it even then without remembering the deception they paid 80 bucks

  11. I hadn't opened my PS4 copy, was waiting on that PS5 patch. Have now arranged to return it for a refund since the patch will take so long.

Shall pick it up once the PS5 patch arrives (I agree performance patching is an essential focus right now).

A shame though, was really looking forward to a play!

  12. At the very least the guy came out and spoke to the players and he did not have to do that. I now have 165 hours of in-game time in Cyberpunk. Initially, the game was crashing a lot! however, since the patch, the game is now very stable, and very rare for it to crash. Sure there are bugs but not game-breaking.

Thoroughly enjoying the game and the massive open world and looking forward to this game expanding overtime. On reflection my £50 spent on this game is probably the best money I have ever spent in terms of enjoyment in my computer game history and that goes back to my youth playing Doom on a PC in 1994.
    🙂

  13. I think what they try to communicate and fail in a big way is something like this: we saw the bugs in the console versions and think we can patch most of them with the zero day patch.
Anyway the testing part sounds really weird and just an excuse

  14. the thing is that there is nothing in the game that should not be possible on old gen consoles, and on PC the game is still in pretty bad shape, that streaming tech they use to "feed" the engine is completely busted, and so many other things. They need to finish the game, and add a whole lot of features that are missing from it at the moment. I love the game but hate the state its in.

  15. Yea, the fact that they are acting like the pc release was good enough and ignored all the missing and dumbed down mechanics makes me less hopefull that the dlcs will add any significant content.

  16. Wonder if some of that missing content or systems was dropped as part of the attempt to run on old gen consoles. They can't handle the game as it is let alone making it even more complex.

  17. i love the game with all my heart, clearly goty for me this year, but this sounds like the old gen console problem is the only one existing and the experience on pc was flawless, when it clearly isnt.

  18. They didnt mean Testing as in: Taking a Console installing the game and just play. They meant Software testing, you pregenerate a set of inputs and check whether you get the correct outputs. Which obviously will never be 100% accurate. Crashes like the ones we saw on last gen consoles are pretty easy to miss with pre generated inputs. He didnt mean they played the game excessively and noticed nothing. As he said they just finished the day 0 patch minutes before the game was released, how could they have tested it ?

  19. I think a better apology video would have been one centered less on their perspective on what went wrong, because obviously for legal reasons this avenue was always going to be very restricted, and instead focused the apology on how they were going to make it right. What are these fixes going to entail? What will be in the DLC? Will we see many of these shallow systems completed? Promising to complete the game doesn't mean anything if you don't expound on what your vision of the final product is.

  20. I’ve been gaming for as long as there’s been video games, and the truth is nowadays, games like Cyberpunk are so complex that you literally are paying to beta test them at release for about the first year. Not a statement on whether it’s right or wrong, it’s just a reality in my opinion. The amount of games you can say are relatively “bug–free“ at release, you can probably count on one hand for the past 20 years.

  21. They lost a lot of people's faith on this video when they said they didn't see the console issues. No. Stop it. That is a lie. You are invalidating your entire apology by lying AGAIN. Own everything not just the parts you're comfortable with owning. You took a calculated risk and it backfired. HARD. If they really want to earn back our trust then step one is to STOP LYING TO US. I'm just as hopeful as Cohh that this game will be fixed and finished but they need to stop with the blatant lies.

  22. I'm a little glad that my PC is not good enough to run Cyberpunk. I've purchased it on Stadia and it runs well, but I need better internet. Having purchased internet upgrade, it's install is now postponed until March due to "the rona". I'm looking forward to starting my playthrough on Stadia later, when the game will hopefully be at it's best.

  23. Basically, they were coming in super fucking hot and thought they could squeak by at the last second and pull everything out. But they didn’t. They rolled the dice and got screwed. It’s not that they didn’t know the game was broken – it’s that they thought they'd fix it by last minute. And that was a terrible gamble.
