Composing Video Game Music – A Beginners Guide E02 – Player Captured

Welcome to episode two in the How to compose video game music for beginners series. Today I will walk you through the process of creating music for another game event. Captured music! When the player is captured by the enemy in the game. This is a family game so I didn’t want to go overboard with grit and darkness. The music should still have a lighthearted feel but a bit of exciting / nervous flavour. In the video we talk about the chords, chord progression, why I choose specific chords, arrangement, instrumentation and sound design process.

Let me know in the comments if you have any questions or feedback!
