Genration 7: Motion Controls, DLC.
Generation 8: Nintendo destroys paper mario, and they announced the wii-u they screwed over Tokyo Mirage Sessions, and advertised a character that represented their incompetence during generation 5 in Smash Bros. glad I ignored the Wii-U but they failed to use the N64/GCN lineup on 3ds. Then they made another system and ruined my desire for a pokemon yellow remake by removing wild battles and tying exp to the pokemon you catch not mention they prevented the player from evolving their starter. This company gets NMH3 as an exclusive while PS4 owners can get slammed. They disrespected every character I wanted in Smash 5 Bomberman Lloyd Irving and Travis Touchdown by turning them into costumes and they rewarded some Boss character who was from ff7 instead of any of the nintendo-era final fantasy cast.
Sony: Didn't have any games I wanted ready till 2018 and I just saved up that moola like a wise Mer-Slayer and then unleashed finisher on sc6 (Mediocre got better but no one should have to pay for scv equipment.) DW8 Empires( Awesome customization.) KH 3 ( Bad at launch rarely play it after dlc.) KH 1.5+2.5 (Why didn't they make a better version of Chain of Memories without cards, or at least try to fix 358 days/2 and RE: Coded?) Greedfall ( Why can't I max out my character and why does punching with a ring require mp?)
Gen 9: Feels way too early and desperate Ninitendo has nothing and will forever disrespect their audience and get rich off of it. Sony will probably get more over run with corporate liberals. Cyberpunk 2077 might get better.
Conclusion: I will be a scavenger when it comes to purchasing video games and their consoles because the mediocrity and success of nintendo fills me with intense hatred.

Going to be…um…brutally honest here. Not a solid episode. I mean, you nailed the points down HARD, and really accurate. I also appreciate what you were gunning at. However, you shouldn't have aimed in so directly in declaring a winner. Why? Both consoles are now at this point are just a little over a month out. This console release was honestly very lackluster due to 2020 being the bain to all of our existence. Titles that should have been released were drastically delayed, or were just lacking some of the polish expected. The big titles that did get released were multi-platform. Some titles were shortened experiences that felt more like DLC content rather than a full on experience. The BIGGEST two PS5 titles, which you mentioned, were either a free pack in tech demo (that was surprisingly fantastic), or a PS3 remaster. Yes, Demon's Souls is a remaster from the PS3. So technically, PS5 only has ONE new original release exclusive to the console.
Regarding external storage. I know the Series X and S will allow for USB HDD support, but that will axe resume play functionality. However, that allows you to have a HUGE amount of storage because standard mechanical drives are way cheaper. Also, if you have a One S|X, you are supposedly able to just plug your existing drive right in without re-downloading…if you so choose. The PS5 also supports USB HDD's. So, at the expense of the faster load speeds and "resume play", you can have a LOT of extra storage at far cheaper costs. I do want to point out that the expansion card for the Xbox is also just a case. The drive inside of it isn't really all that proprietary. The controller circuit, that is proprietary though. WHo knows. Maybe some innovative third party will come out with a specialized case so one can just go and buy ANY M.2 SSD. As for that PS5…opening up that chassis just doesn't set well. I anticipate a class action in Sony's future where people have cracked the shell due to trying to expand their storage.
I do want to make a point about the PS5 controller though. Everyone makes a big deal about how the Xbox Series controller isn't "innovative", and "more of the same". Real shame that stability and reliability is such a bad thing. I have been watching a lot of reviews where folks are going into game options and turning off haptic feed back on the triggers because they don't like how it causes finger fatigue during intense multiplayer games. They like it for the experience, as it is amazing…but the feature just impacts competitive play to greatly, and is fatiguing. I do wish Microsoft would have done something new with their controller, but what isn't broken…why try and reinvent it? Also, those new features in the PS5 controller. Give it time and devs will skimp on them for whatever reasons…like how no one remembers the PS2 face buttons were analog.

Also, clarifications on points you inadvertently overlooked. I currently do not have either console, as I am waiting it out for a couple of more months, and because the stock is utter abysmal. I do have an Xbox One S and PS4 "Basic". I game primarily on the XboneS, and use the PS4 for specific exclusives. I value what each brings to the table. I am a collector first, and fanboi never.

At the same time, I like that you can play PS4 games on it alongside PS5 ones. Like the PS2 all over again! Though my broke ass will have to wait until the price of it goes down either way.

Oh, and just I like to throw an idea. While this console battle takes the start of the console life. How bout a console battle of the end of a console's life as well. Like example I like to see the Playstation 4 Pro vs. the Xbox One X vs. Maybe The Nintendo Switch (although not sure that hit end cycle, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Switch Pro is actually a next gen take of the Switch while still able to operate old one, but will see.). Just see how much of a difference they've hit a points. Did they fix any since initial? Did they improve upon it? I'm curious~

Yeah, disappointed with Sony PS5 for the stupid stand and the hard to access memory. Waiting for the improved slim version before buying.
Yeah, I'd say I'm vaguely more interested in the PS5 for Dualsense and other things… but I'm definitely gonna wait for that PS5 Slim before I even CONSIDER buying one.

I do not care about "console exclusive" when it means I get it also on PC. Microsoft would always lose in that cathegory but I think its a good thing not to create artificial "exclusives".

From what you explained in every genre, xbox eliminated ps5 hard. Not to mention I have the series x and am currently playing 8 different enhanced games and they are looking very next gen. Better then spiderman could look
I've only ever had to sit through opening company logos once on PS5 games, once you have seen them they're skipped automatically by the console everytime you load the game (not for PS4 games though). Just wondering why yours doesn't do that?
As someone who only has a Nintendo switch I see both of these as an absolute win.

I know I have said some things that came off as fanboyism towards Sony, but this was mainly due to personal experience that got me triggered from using an Xbox. And it wasn't until recently when I finally started getting over it thanks to the excitement of finally getting my own Xbox Series X. I'm still waiting on the PS5 though, but at least I still have a new system to use in the meantime.

The PS5 wins because it has better games. Xbox doesn't have very many anime games and the ones they do have are usually on other consoles. I think there is going to be at least one anime exclusive on the XBox which is odd since Microsoft is an American company. You got to purchase a PS5? How did you get past the scalpers? The PS5 looks nicer even though the stand sounds like a problem. I don't really care about all the media stuff the XBox has. Wasn't there a god awful presentation where they mention the media stuff but not the games? I actually resort to emulation in order to play PS1 games. I heard Ape Escape 2 was ported to the PS4 but I wanted the original American version because for some dumb reason the PS4 only has the European version which has worse voice acting. The female character has this stupid British Accent and the male character sounds a bit too old for the character he's playing. I want to hear the voices of Ash and Misty in the American Ape Escape 2 which are much better. I had to buy a copy on eBay. I'm not going to buy a PS5 unless I have to which is not necessary at the moment. XBox One is a stupid name. A name like that could get mixed up with the original XBox. I call the original PlayStation the PS1 but I can't call the original XBox, XBox One. Da Winna. How did Stadia end up in the envelope? It wasn't even a part of this contest.
