As a scientific discipline, astronomy doesn’t recognize geographical boundaries because the object of study and methodology is universal. As basic natural science, astronomy studies the physical realm from the smallest entity in the world of elementary particles to the largest entity that is none other than the universe itself. The feeling of wonderstruck when looking at the universe awaken a variety of artistic and spiritual inspiration. The end of his journey led him to a measurement of his authenticity.
It’s society is demanded to socialize in acculturation, beautifully integrated between the exact and socio-culture fields. Whilst saving the nuances of art, beauty, and harmony. His imagination traces the footsteps of science billion years into the past, now, and future accompanied by the language of mathematics and faith.
By the time then, it will push the revelation of thousands hidden dimensions, who then try to make sense of the reality limited to his domain. The rest, it is up to us, to take advantage of science as a base, either in the realm of the domain or in the spirit realm, and we activate our transcendental function to achieve the majesty of His knowledge in the realm of the infinite in this vast universe. Scientific findings do not negate fundamental questions related to creation, but instead provide a variety of investigative and universal sharpening ideas. Widya is an astronomy alumni from ITB and a partner of HAAJ (Jakarta Amateur Astronomy Association). He actively introduced astronomy to the public at the Jakarta Planetarium and Observatory. Widya also fostered and actively conducted research to trace the links of Indonesian astronomy and culture. For his work in carrying out the development of STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Art, and Math) at national and international level, Widya receive Ganesa Widya Jasa Adiutama award from ITB in 2018. In addition, Widya was also involved as a member of the Editor’s team in the Stars of Asia Project, a project to collect folklore related to astronomy in the Asia Pacific.
