  1. I was stationed in Japan back in 06' and I must say they're very disciplined in public. If you don't have your phone on silent in public folks will address you about being impolite. So to see/hear about this frenzy over there has to make the world realize how bad these scalpers have terrorized everyone. Folks are getting bricks and empty boxes delivered to their homes because folks are stealing. I could only imagine the frenzy here stateside if we had hundreds in stock at all locations. Everyday would be a Black Friday spectacle lol.

  2. They weren’t organized, why would they let so much People in the Store, they should’ve limited the amount of People to get in and buy PS5,there were no Social Distances, everyone was so close to each other

  4. Once Sony talked about making anime their fourth pillar of entertainment since last year Japan knew Sony was not abandoning the market.

They are reorganizing to respond to the changing market. SIE is now shifting towards AAA production at Japan Studio which made Toyama leave the company and other Siren staff followed him. Konami dissolving their production divisions and send their former staff to Japan Studio who belongs to Sony now. Japan Studio will focus on globalized titles in Japan to aim at worldwide audience.

Aniplex has the anime market and Sony plans to focus on original production with IPs associated with them.

They are now working with CyberConnect2 on Demon Slayer for PlayStation which isn't a original production because Shueisha owns the rights to the property, it's a license.

However, Aniplex form capital alliance with f4samurai who made successful magi madioka adaptation and Disney Worlds for smartphones. Japanese consumers normally don't care who makes the mobile game but f4samurai has earned Aniplex's respect. Delightworks worked on Fate Grand Order, hand worked on 22/7 Ongaku no Jikan, Quatro A cooperates with Soleil on Demon Slayer, etc.

Who makes the mobile game is not relevant. Console game is more sensitive and needs to be high quality with the art, gameplay and replayability.

When you have studios like Level-5, Falcom, CyberConnect2 there is a high possibility Sony will acquire them for their original production plans for anime business.

Level-5 is private and is worth sub $50 million.
    Falcom's market cap is $128,000.
    CyberConnect2's market cap is $400,000.
Akihiro Ishihara left Cygames on April 30 2019 and Aniplex needs a competent director for the PlayStation adaptation of their multimedia project (idol anime group: 22/7) to compete with Idolmaster series and Love Live series and set up a new game studio.

Akihiro Ishihara created Idolmaster as a game for arcades which was later ported to Xbox 360 by Sakagami's team. He was then involved with Live for You! for Xbox 360, Idolmaster SP for PSP, Idolmaster 2 for Xbox 360/PS3, Idolmaster One For All for PS3 and Idolmaster Platinum Stars for PS4 before he left Bandai Namco Studios on Jan 31 2016 and joined Cygames in order to create his ideal IP (Uma Musume).
