They are both Good, If C2 is unlocked Kaeya can hold his Ult for Max 25 sec. Chongyun's only problem is that he breaks the ice with his claymore.

Hey I just recently started playing and luckily got the ice dude on the top. I used him a couple of times and really like him but what does the circle around his sword mean? I just use R2 and idk what else it does
i like kaeya. people underestimate him because you get him for free. both chongyun and kaeya are good and i have all the mats needed (except exp books and hilichurl masks) for chongyun's ascension to lvl 80. kaeya is already at 80, so i kinda wanna see who's better on my own terms. granted, chongyun's constellations are easeirt to get than kaeya, so i might have more chongyun constellations by the time i get him to lvl 80.

I prefer my C3 Chongyun compared to my C0 Kaeya. Chongyun be my sub-DPS to my Diluc
I have a bias towards claymores so I'd go with Chongyun

Imo Kaeya and Chongyun are great in their own ways. Whether as a Main DPS, Sub DPS or even a support. I sometimes use both when I play Genshin 😀
